I'm not too worried about it not coming here, unless ND goes silly and tries to implement Steamworks multiplayer or something like that. :P

I'd be more concerned if ND bought all of EA's unreleased backlog, since they got this and Noctropolis. ;)

The first System Shock didn't have multiplayer, so unless they go for a remastered/HD edition, we should be safe. :P

I wouldn't worry too much. At least not for the most desirable games (like Black and White).

I guess that'd be kind of selfish since GOG has already has gotten so much (mainly LucasArts), but as we know ND has seemingly shifted Steam-way, so them getting the "most desirable" games would obviously be an uncomfortable situation.

jkiiskinen: So, looks like Night Dive Studios is preparing to release System Shock 1:

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=145663

Will be interesting to see if it's going to come here or be Steam-only like Strife. At least we got Terra Nova, but it seems sales have been criminally low, even The Hugo Trilogy sold more, sheesh! Everyone who didn't buy Terra Nova should do so right now.
My hype meter just hit 11. I played this game through back in late 2006, and the opportunity to revisit a stable/legal version would be incredible.
They are implementing Steam features into Noctropolis, so who knows what they might come up with next.

And another thing that's been bothering me about ND: lately they've been peddling those MicroProse classics that were supposedly too valuable to sell on GOG for $5.99 a piece on Steam for less than $1. Games hardly ever go that low on GOG even during promos and deep discounts. That just seems insane, or maybe desperate. Personally, I would have bought every one of those if they had come here at $5.99 (and still would, and did buy the ones that came earlier).
I think everyone overinflated their expectations* during the System Shock 2 release when it seemed to the community like Night Dive and GOG were BFFs. At the end of the day, Night Dive is in it for the money, like everyone else. And like everyone else, they see that most of the money is on Steam.

*Edit: Including me.

Heh, then my "money" will continue to go toward getting their stuff on $1 bundles on Groupees and all charity sliders to Humble.

ARRRRRRRRGFGGHHH fuckers messing with my NOCTROPOLIS!!!???? (that's where my name comes from, folks)
I posted a link and info in the "unofficially confirmed" thread regarding Night Dive working on a release date for Noctropolis on GOG:

Some new info from NeoGAF:
http://67.227.255.239/forum/showpost.php?p=175235346&postcount=39
- No real progress has been made on NOLF, it is on the backburner.
- The rightsholder for Powerslave is not interested in re-releasing the game at all (even though Night Dive did kind of release the beta of the Saturn port for free already earlier)
- They gave up on Dark Seed after H.R. Giger's death.
- They are looking into other point-and-click games like The Dark Eye, Drowned God, Obsidian, and Space Bar

SCPM: Drowned God
Fox Mulder's favorite game :)
Way to go, Night Dive!
(Wasn't sure whether I should post this here or in the Turok thread)

There's a thread on Steam for "Other games you'd like to see Night Dive release on Steam", and ND are paying attention to this thread, if anybody wants to make suggestions (for Steam, GOG, etc. releases) -

gibbeynator: Night Dive has heard your complaints about them charging for Dragonsphere on Steam, and have issued their response. Once the deal with Atari expires, Dragonsphere will no longer be free on GOG.
And so it has happened. ;)
If anybody still follows this thread...

"... we so far have the confirmation that Witchaven games are coming (maybe there is a chance for Corridor 7 too, since it was made by same dev),
Forsaken was confirmed some time ago, possibly as a remaster: http://shaneplays.com/fragments-of-silicon-night-dive-studios-classic-games/
"Yes, Good chance of updated version of Forsaken (1998). Acclaim’s version of Descent but “way prettier”."
Some less than happy news from that same link:

"Azrael’s Tear looked into briefly by Night Dive Studios but no progress made.

Old FASA Games: Mechwarrior, Mech Commander, etc? Night Dive has looked into them but the rights are spread across several entities."

But this was some time ago so it is possible that they made some progress in the meantime."
