Stilton: I was very impressed with the handling in the first game, and that's from someone who is into simulations. I was expecting an arcade feel, but the physics are much better than that and would easily work in a good quality sim. In the second game they're deadened down and the whole game suffers a bit from taking itself too seriously. Its still worth getting in a sale, but the first one is just plain crazy.
Yes that's what i meant. The game wasn't easy because of that but i liked it and it was a bit of a shame the got rid of it for the sequel but i assume the wanted to broaden their audience...

Alright. Think i'm going to sleep now. Good night everyone - and see you later :).

I think they fell into the common trap of concentrating too much on the visuals. There is a considerable graphic improvement in the second game, but I would've liked to see them take the mad humour of the first one a bit further. It often happens that follow up games/films/tv series aren't as good as the first. Its a lack of focus and market pressure, I suppose.

pimpmonkey2382.313: They had to have been more drunk than I've ever been in my life while translating that game. lol
You aren't helping me to stick with the games I already have installed...

Additional - I shut off Adblock to be supportive of Supergreatfriend. Going back and watching his old stuff again. I put on a video doing a Let's Play of a horror game for the Dreamcast, and what do I get as an ad? Some garbage for Halo.
Kinda getting the feeling they don't understand that game people aren't automatically latest "triple-A" people.

Yes that's a common problem. Especially market pressure might be an important factor..which often results in streamlining games which don't need that kind of treatment

...it's unfortunate that the series went downhill after Flatout 1 and i doubt we're gonna sea another one after the Flatout 3 disaster...

Alright. This time for real. ;)
Good night everyone.

Sleep well, Joe :-)

All these soft Europeans are dropping like flies. I don't think I'll last much longer, either. At least I don't have a ducking fishwasher to shift in the morning :-)

-laughs- The night will end as it usually does. Myself, maybe No New Tale To Tell, then people will start to show up again roughly around midnight local time.

What time is it there? I've got nearly I:30 am here. I hate it when my head starts to fill with smoke and I keep thinking about bed. Real pain on the R's.

Perhaps you should just go and sleep? ;-)

Moon, you're like a ghost :-) You appear when you're least expected and tap us on the shoulder and I go 'Whooahh,' and then I realise its you :-) Then you drift off again and when the moment is right you reappear again :-)

I'm not complaining, by the way - its always nice to see you :-)

Not really. More like getting more awake again. But yeah. I'll survive it ;-)
