I was always more of a Twisted Metal fan (the original game that is)

SLP2000: You just need one person with US address to run kickstarter.
It's possibly the case, but it doesn't really answer the question. I really would appreciate more clarity when it comes to Kickstarter projects.

In any case I asked them directly. Naturally I want to know what's going on before I cough up any hard earned money. Even if this is another of my childhood / adolescent favourites being resurrected here.

rodrolliv: Was going to post a thread about this, fortunately I looked before.

I'm not very familiar with kickstarter projects so, about the 400.000$ goal, do you think it's easy to achieve? And enough money to make a decent game? I mean compared to other kickstarters, I honestly have no clue.
Wow mere hours into it so far and already at ~$45k ....

Yeah, think this one might go through the roof.
I'm not going to back this unless they drop the Steam requirement.

Bug them about it, either via Twitter or PM.
Carmageddon? One of the games I used to play so much. Good.
Very glad to see that Carmageddon is rolling back into the scene (over pedestrians and cows)

Okay, will do!
25$ is too little for a game like Carmageddon! Goddamn i wish i could buy the 100$ one. Argh!! At least i'll get to have the kickstarter updates on their forum

I know what you mean.... but I can't justify $100 right now given the following:
1) $50 soon coming out my bank account to jane jensen
2) 3DS Mario Tennis end of month
3) Diablo III next week (already paid for by annual pass but need time to play)
4) Tempted by Alan Wake purchase and pre-order
5) 3DS Luigi's Mansion 2 next month

And that's the short list .... heh ...

Still I can justify the $50 for carmageddon given that provides 2 copies (so effectively $25 each), beta access, backer forum access, and the special in game car....
My post wasn't intended as an answer to anyone who gave money for this game (just to avoid and misunderstanding). This was a, shall i say, "note to myself", that i can't spend anymore money than this.

And i as many others would like to get something physical on my hands, but the Tier for that is 100$. I wish they could add something for us too...
They have the original games rights, if they want money why don´t they sell them? Dammit!!!!
$350 to get a retail box ..... :/
Carmageddon 3dfx forevar. Idea of a new game seems pointless to me, if only to let a handful of people make some money since they don't get any from the sales of the originals (or do they?).

Am I they only one who disliked Carmageddon 2 for being blocky 3d and having awkward polygonal pedestrians? Those old sprite graphics work so well in Carmageddon and with the 3dfx patch it looks much better than 2 imo.
