Olauron: It does recognize backer editions even if all PoE2 versions on the site are shown as not owned. It seems that you should have Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire gamecard for this recognition. The (any) backer gamecard is already changed for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire gamecard so if it is not in your library you should a) wait or b) make an account refresh and wait. In the EDIT2 of the pinned blue post it is also said that buying this DLC through the client (Galaxy) will force refresh.

ShotgunLincoln: I have the Pillars II - Ultimate Fig Edition in my library. I've already refreshed my account twice, restarted galaxy, tried the GoG downloader on the website, and tried getting the dlc to force a refresh. None of that has worked. When I try to veiw the gamepage it kicks me back to My Collection and when I hit install from the drop down it brings me an infinite loading screen.
Yes, I understand. This Fig Edition will not work. There is no point in trying it, it is already removed and will not give you any links. You should have exactly Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire gamecard title. It is already changed internally but there are problems with showing it to you. I'm afraid that if you have done the account refresh then you should wait.
While you are waiting you may try these links:
Part 1 of the classic download
GOG Downloader page
They will not work without logging in and (I guess) they will not work for those who don't have the game but it may force your account to recognize the correct version.

Edit: typos.

Guess I'll just have to wait. That second link just gives me a 404 when I'm logged in. Oh wellllllll.

While you're waiting, take these theater tickets, "Our American Cousin".
Occasionally gog postpones a release by ~37 seconds just for the pleasure of letting hysterical brats make fool of themselves. It's one of the provided services that I appreciate most.
UPDATE: I guess the change finnaly went through as mine changed to the normal version so i guess to anyone else who experiances this just wait.

That was a Lincoln reference BTW, I wasn't trolling. :P
Glad you got the game working, kind of.

Let us know how it is.

That makes the second person here who apparently has a life so terrible they have nothing better to do than act snide when people are quite understandably frustrated over something with little information to work with on how to solve the problem and - importantly - what to do when the "guaranteed fixes" people are suggesting... aren't guaranteed to work for everyone.

I'll just reiterate what I said to the previous person that shares your mental and emotional defects: go fellate a shotgun. Make the world a better place by removing yourself from it.

Yeah, the fixes are inconsistent at best and the only thing you can really do is just keep repeating the cycle and hope it works. The account refresh URL (which was buried in an unrelated support topic, rather than on the list of "try these things first" like it should've been) worked on the first try for me, but after that I had a hell of a time wrangling my way through a "not authorized" error. I had to restart GOG several times before it finally decided that my copy was legitimate and would begin the download and installation.

Glad to hear you got yours working. I do know this will be the last time I ever redeem a code to GOG instead of Steam, though. These kinds of problems are simply unacceptable, even if I'd much rather support GOG's DRM-free standpoint rather than Steam.

I guess we should not judge him too harshly. The traumatic experience of not being able to play a game immediately upon release is more than any man should go through.

Although I am a little disappointed with his lack of creativity when it comes to insults and wishing others death.

In his defense, between mowing the lawn and doing his homework, he probably doesn't have a lot of time to come up with new insults.

We get it. You're petty and thin-skinned. Completely triggered by a video game not working right away that you feel the need to tell people to kill themselves anonymously over the internet, in a desperate immature attempt to display your disatisfaction with differing opinion.

richlind33: I'm wondering if it'll work. So hurry up! ;p

GR00T: Seems to work fine.
Hey PizzaShart, see what happens when you're not a huge, gaping arsehole? lol

Seriously, I was searching the game store what this "Fig Backer" game is that got mentioned early in this thread, but I didn't find it, either with the keywoard "fig" or "backer".

The people really seem to be anxious to play it ASAP, that's why I got interested in Fig Backer, but now it appears there was no such game after all?!? :(

Little off-topic, but it keeps amazing me how many people are anxious to play games that have barely been released, or are even still in in-dev status. Such games always make me feel like "I bet it has 9999 critical bugs and later they will be releasing 10 DLCs you can't do without, so better wait until the serious bugs are ironed out and the "missing parts" are released", so I'd better wait.

Maybe it is because I don't have gaming friends with whom to discuss about that new shit hot game everyone in the school yard has been waiting for whole year. I just pick up something like Deus Ex, install the latest GMDX mod on top of it, and feel certain I am getting a 1000% better experience than back in 1999, trying to play the 1.0 buggy version of Deus Ex. It is so complicated (with lots of game mechanism branches depending on your actions etc.) that I bet it was a nightmare to try to finish back then.

(Yeah yeah, I do play also newer games than from 1999, but my main point was that I rather wait when the game has become stable and "complete".)

Meh, to each his own I guess.

I'm having a hard time imagining a schoolyard today waiting in breathless anticipation for something like Pillars of Eternity. I'm pretty sure schoolyards nowadays are to busy playing Fortnite on their phones.

Fig is a platform similar to Kickstarter, where people can pledge funds to get games made. Fig is concerned only with games though, so not as wide-reaching as Kickstarter. The 'Fig Backer' edition people were referencing was what showed up on your game shelf if you backed the game on Fig and redeemed your code on GOG. Eventually that changed to just regular PoE 2. But there was no way you'd be able to search for and find the Fig Backer edition on the store. It was only a 'placeholder' game card on the shelves of backers who opted for the GOG version over the Steam version.

I quite agree with you, but since I backed the game, I DLed the release version to archive (I like to have the original release version of games archived if I can). But yeah, I'll likely not play it until all the way through patching and DLC is released.
