rjbuffchix: I see this and raise you the Resident Evil 4 that was scrapped for the one that released.
I guess I didn't mind Resi 4 that much plus I didn't hear about the version that was scrapped. Honestly I wish they would have just continued every game in the same vein as Code Veronica, my fave Resident, including the aesthetic, controls, difficulty, subtlety etc

Tiberian Incursion and pretty much whole C&C series as it was planned by Westwood before EA took over.

Also Forge and The Fold (Loom sequels) would be nice.
Shadowrun : assassins.

I totally hear that. On that note, I would love Code Veronica on GOG!!! I will never understand people complaining about the formula becoming stale...I would take that formula all day long. Isn't it funny how people complained about tank controls becoming stale after a run of roughly 5 years, while lauding the "improvement" of non-scary cover-shooting popularized by RE4/Gears/etc that now has been going on for nearly 15 years!

As for the scrapped version, this is what I was referring to: https://youtu.be/afpf508tDeU ...It didn't look perfect and I would prefer something closer to the original games, but it definitely looks more of a horror game than RE4 ended up being. I would say RE4 was a great action game, ditto for RE5. I would just prefer them be slower-paced horror games. I would still buy them if GOG got them as is, though :)
Torn. One of Black Isle's ideas lost to time! Just the basic concept (the player is cursed to bring misery and pain to everyone they meet) sounds fascinating! And with Black Isle's design and writing, this could've been something truly special.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2. GSC is back so all is not lost.
Duke Nukem Forever (late 90's); Starcraft Ghost; Warcraft Adventures (well, there's a incomplete game around there but it would be cool back at the 90's); Final Fantasy VII on Nintendo 64; Earthbound 64...

Yeah, that is much better. I did play through to the end of Resi 4 and enjoyed it but playing it through a 2nd time was a slog. I realised action based RE is not for me, never tried RE5 for this reason + I tried the beginning of RE6 and couldn't believe how bad it was, shoot, shoot, then shoot some more, QTE, over-the-top cut-scene, GTFO of my survival horror game already.

I heard the RE remakes were good.

So far only the 1st one was remade but I think they may be working on the 2nd. The 1st remake was great, better graphics and lighting effects,, new areas, new enemies, less cheesy cut scenes which kind of took the charm out of it a little but that's ok + other stuff

Hope Capcom will release it here.

I must be thinking of the remasters.

Was it the remake or the remaster of the first one that had that comically bad new music?
Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms
It was supposed to be a somewhat realistic military version. I was disappointed to see cartoon version TF2.

No clue, but I'm playing your name right now. Sounds like shit without backing vocals. :P
