Dogmaus: To me it does, and without the sarcasm. When you are big, why would you aim at a smaller market of older gamers? You would rather want to squeeze out the wallets of a general audience of kids growing up with Fortnite. We can get our good games elsewhere.
Build a good product and respect your customerbase and they will flock to you eventually.
Piss on them and tell them they should feel privileged to be nickeled and dimed, and they may go elsewhere.
I wouldn't want to squeeze anyone's wallet. I'd rather see more companies making great products everyone wants and everyone benefits, not making cheap trash and trying to rake in money in potentially infinite sales in otherwise pointless empty games.
