I feel the smallest smidgen of sorrow for the people in the company genuinely trying to make a good game. But for Bethesda as an entity, no. They aren't the company they were, and may never be again.

untshure14: Does anyone here feel sorry for bethesda?
Hell no. I enjoy watching all their screw-ups.

I'm still mad at them for taking my favourite RPG franchise and twisting it into a shitty FPS. I'm still hoping they'll sell the Fallout IP to someone who can bring it back into its isometric turn-based roots with quality writing. If the whole company needs to burn down to get there, I'll be cheering in the first row with a bucket of popcorn.
The only thing I feel sorry for is the Gamebryo Engine. Poor thing is way past its prime and instead of letting it live the rest of its years in peace, Bethesda is working it to death like a cruel slave-driver.

I have to wonder how much of Morrowind's engine lives on in Fallout 76. or how much of the design decisions that shaped the Morrowind continue to have repercussions today.
With each release until Fallout 76, Bethesda have kept getting lazier and lazier, and releasing more and more broken games. I think Fallout 76 is the first game, for which Bethesda have been called out on their shit, by pretty much everybody! They have received a ton of bad press, so their next release/two releases will be a bigger indicator about how many of the old developers still work for Bethesda, and are willing to put in the effort to release a proper innovative game, such as the ones they were known and praised for.

It remains to be seen...

fr33kSh0w2012: Yeah actually I feel sorry that Interplay sold their fallout IP to Bethesda interactive edutainment pavilion and nursing home
The reason that Interplay sold the Fallout rights to Bethseda is that Interplay owed several years' worth of royalties to Parallax, the developer of the classic Descent games. Interplay initially licensed the Fallout IP to Bethseda but when Fallout 3 did so well Bethseda decided to throw their cash around and buy the rights.
Isometric Fallout is dead and the brand will never be sold off by Bethesda.

After 76 it might be dead period. Regardless of iso or not.

Very true.

I wish there was some sci-fi/post apocalyptic isometric RPG to take its place. I didn't here too many good things about Wastelanders.

TerriblePurpose: Fallout 76 was a dumpster fire and Bethesda's idea of 'fallout first' just poured radioactive gasoline on that fire. See what many Fallout fans feel about it Here.
Yeah, the uproar was crazy. Everyone was anticipating and hyped over and it just flop back then

Have not played any of them yet but "Underrail" "Atom RPG" and "Encased" seem to be aiming in that direction.

edit:
I feel the urge to add that I like both the Iso and the Third Person Fallouts. Due to mods I even played FO3 & New Vegas significantly more than the Classics and still hope for FO4 (and Skyrim) to arrive here on Gog.

I have never enjoyed a Bethesda game, even the good ones, so while I can empathize with all the fans burned by their idiocy, for me it's been entertaining to watch Bethesda somehow manage to continuously find new ways to dump fuel on the eternal tyre fire that is Fallout 76. I mean, it's well beyond parody at this point.

Isn't ATOM RPG isometric and decent?
