I think Fallout 1+2 are very hard to get into. I've got both but still haven't completed them, they're a lot of fun, but just very high difficulty curve.
And I'm feeling a lot of hate for Fallout 3, which I think is excellent! I do prefer FPS, though I loved just wondering around the wasteland and exploring, something I don't think is very well done in Fallout 1+2.
Though to say Fallout 1+2 are rubbish because they are not like Fallout 3 or first person is like saying you don't like cars because they don't fly...
