For the love of all that is good and holy, please take Nekros out this turn. My suicide units are lined up ready to charge the walls.

Bonzai!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus I'm running out of gold and mana supporting the buggers.
I'll kick off the assault, if both of ya'll are lined up outside the walls. Just let me know.
And with few clicks the map is 32 units lighter.

Still one stack remains.
We could take it on but we backed away instead. ;-)

And Nekron is gone. It was a much different fight with cannon fodder and a Titan to lead the assault. The eagles did a great job at drawing fire while I got inside the walls.
Woohoo!

I was sort of surprised at how well Nekron holed up in his castle. Was surprised not to see lots of zombies in the final battle though. I though units were supposed to come back as zombies and be a royal pain in the ass. Maybe that only happens in a human led battle or something. If so, remind me to always click "auto-battle" against the undead when there are 30 units involved...

Goood job, Bookwyrm. The last fight looks like it went smoothly.
So what are your impressions after yours first PBEM game?

Wow, you sure had little money.
I was swimming in them.
I gave Bookwyrm 1500, built constantly in all my towns and still had close to 3k.
If I knew I would have sent you some as well. :-)

The castle's enchantment can only raise 5 corpses. I found out that it can raise Death Knights, though!

My initial guess was right: if I try to play against humans right now, I'm just going to be food for the closest one.

It is fun, and there are a lot of things I like (such as getting details about a hex by hovering the mouse over it). There are some complainants, like lack of details on how certain things work (ex. Call of the Forest), and how hard it is to be sure which hex I'm targeting at a given point.

I'd be up for another fight against the AI, even on a harder map. I don't think I'm up for VS Humans, yet.

I can manage another PBEM right now but I don't have the stomach for losing to Mimo in more than one game simultaneously. So a human versus AI map would interest me if I am welcome. I guess it depends on the number of Wizards/players

Wenne is still around and definitely not happy at how fast he was knocked out of the map he started... If we start another big game, he'll want in.

Re: Human vs. AI - It's tough to find good ones. They are either too easy for experienced players or way too hard for beginners. Striking a balance is tough.

Why don't we play an unbalanced map on purpose? Let the computer randomize a map which always sucks and make the #1 ground rule be that there are no alliances, no peace, and no trading allowed. Then you guys can gang up on me anyway... And anyone who dies can just blame the crappy map design. :)

Holy crap! Both are XL maps and will take us forever... Don't get me wrong, the LoTR looks like fun and the staggered difficulties for the various starting positions is kind of cool. Never done a mod pack in AoW:SM either, so that would add some extra variability.
Indeed, they are quite intimidating.
I cheecked the most downloaded maps for co-op maps and XL seem to be the msot popular.
The LotR map is by far the most downloaded and I find the different difficulty for different starts quite intriguing.
I'm in for LotR.

Did you say your name was Gaalandriel or Dain Ironfoot?
