Question: Is there a way to interrupt movement that is in progress? For example, in HoMM3, clicking while a hero is walking will stop the hero's path, letting you react to something newly uncovered.

Nope. Don't move so far at once. :-)

It's really annoying when you see a concealed unit in this fashion and wander right past them...
