There's actually a giant PSOne flight stick setup that makes Wing Commander IV a joy to play. If you happen across one somewhere, it's great!

But the PC version (especially the DVD) is a world apart. They had to cut out a LOT of movies and missions to cut the PSOne version down to four CDs (originally it was six--and the DVD is an 8 gigabyte double-sided disc!)

Sure - I'll put my name against a worthy petition. :)

Not sure how well it would run though, given how many people are getting choppy video playback with the current version...

Personally I would actually prefer the Dos version of WC4(which if released, it probably will be) on GOG. because the DOS version will be easier to make work cross-platform as Dosbox is cross-platform.

As has already been said, you can download all the DVD movies at the CIC, and I'm sure that they will create any simple patch to convert the GOG version to DVD anyway(or just modify the one they have already).

Basically I'm all about options. If GOG wants to offer the DVD version in addition to the the DOS version I'm all for it but I would see it as more a replacement and that I don't want.

Keep in mind you don't need to wait on GOG for WC4(that's if it comes but considering the popularity of the franchise on GOG I would predict that its a certainty) to get the DVD movies which are available right now to download.

I agree keep these fantastic games coming. WC4 is one of the all time greats. Add Strike Commander while you're at it. :)

I will buy everything newer than Wing Commander III (i still bought the gog-Version and enjoy heavyly gaming it) from the Wing Commander Universe.

Especially Privateer II -The Darkening is my TOP Favorite.

It is my most wanted Game ever!
My Mos Favorite ever!
The Best Game ever! (IMHO!!!)

You can charge 25$ for it and i will buy it. But joystick is a must have in this game!
