Winwood113: Since the last update I've found it impossible to finish the game as a Malkavian. Everything goes fine up to the point where you meet Bertram Tung. The moment I talk to him he opens by saying "the one and only", so it skips the first part of the dialogue completly. Later in Hollywood when talking to Velvet she gets stuck in the animation where she's meant to be leading me to talk in private and the game won't go any further. I've deleted all saves and done a clean install but still have the same issues.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

wesp5: This looks as if you are playing the basic version of the patch. wesp5: I never heard that before. I hope you didn't continue a plus save with basic or the other way around...

Winwood113: This is from a new game with a fresh install with all my old save games deleted. I didn't have this problem before the last patch.

wesp5: Can you please check if this is a random problem? Like does it happen each time you enter the Vesuvius? Because it works fine for me and it is known that game has random bugs if you play long sessions in one go!

Winwood113: The opening dialogue with Tung is still missing though, I've also been getting an odd stutter that wasn't there with the previous patch and an occasional "node out of date" message that flashes onscreen briefly when entering a new area.

wesp5: As I wrote, the opening dialogue of Tung is a plus patch restoration and the node message points to some ain files not being up to date with the maps, which should not happen at all. It looks as if maybe your setup was corrupted?
