But GOG is automatically installing game with an older version of the patch(10.0), wont it be a file mess, like some redundant leftover scripts from the older patch?

Yes, to avoid this you need to disable automatic updates on Galaxy for Bloodlines.

No there won't be trouble like that. You see, the new version of the patch has the same files as the old one, just different versions. So everything from the old version is overwritten.
But as Wesp said, keep auto update off! Because if you don't, Galaxy will at some time during your game revert to the old version and that will cause a bloody mess.

So, I have just downloaded Bloodlines and want to know how I can get the Sabbat and Independents as playable clans along with the Camarilla. Is this an additional MOD / Patch?

You can play as a Sabbat in the Clan Quest Mod, but you will still be one of the original clans. In The Final Nights and Antitribu Mods you can play as almost all the other clans, although with the same Camarilla/Anarch story!

The Unoffical Patch version 10.2 is part of GOG VTMB. But there is a later version of UP and there are more mods. The follwing three mods work on top of one VTMB install. They use the mod loader. Other mods like Antitribu need there own version of VTMB

Here is - working for me - mod status as of July 2020. The desktop shortcut for VTMB needs an option -game to start the mod. An alternative for cheats is the "infinite stats glitch". To play VTMB on level "easy" apply this glich once. See

No, it doesn't. There is a shortcut to the legacy game which runs it only patched for technical issues like RAM and SecuRom and the gameplay is completely untouched!

I don't see any shortcut for that. Also I want to install a patch, but I can't because the patcher tells me the game is already patched. This is not useful.

There should be a legacy shortcut somewhere, if you can't find it, just start the game using vampire.exe and you will get the unpatched game. Unofficial unpatched that is, the Troika official 1.2 patch is always included which might be the reason why the patcher fails.
