Castrum: As for "the PC community", I'm getting a $4000 custom-built PC around August, so if you think I'm one of those screaming foul-mouthed Call of Duty kids who hates everything on PC intrinsically, I'm sorry to disappoint you.
$4,000?! Good gravy, what on earth are you putting into it? I built my PC for around $1,000 and there's not much I can't play maxed out.
This could have been a good game, but the developers were jerks, they promised an editor and never publicly released it so the game could have been fixed.

You have to go to a website fill out a form, then they decide if your F***ing worthy to use it, so the game just died. To this day (well last time I checked was a year or so ago) they STILL have not publicly released it.

They care so little about their community of game owners, your defiantly wasting your money on these Bass Hat developers, when you buy their games!

Getting all the latest stuff put into it. SSD and such. I'm getting this local guy to build it; he's built all my PCs, so I trust him with it. He's charging nothing for labor, and I looked up the parts on Newegg and other similar sites, and the prices he quoted for me are about what one can find on there. I'm also getting a copy of Win7 with it since I'm still running on XP on my desktop, and a new KB+M because the ones I have right now are old and busted.

Nice -- sounds like it's going to be quite an upgrade. SSD is definitely my next upgrade. Enjoy!
I've put nine hours into the game and I find it kind of a mixed bag. The voice acting ranges from bad to decent (in fact, the variation is probably the most jarring aspect), the graphics are okay, the gameplay is okay, the soundtrack is good, and the plot (so far) is a bit cliche but not cringe-worthy. It has also been very stable (eight of those hours were in one session and it didn't crash or glitch during that time).

The overuse of 'forsooth' in dialogue has become something of a comic relief, too.

On the whole? Not a great game, but not a bad one either.
Dont pay any attention to the OP.
Try the game yourself.
I did and I like it a lot.
I like it better than Oblivion for instance.

If you like open-world gameplay with an interesting plot to follow....TW is excellent.
If you like lots of different equipment and novel ways of improving it....TW is excellent.
If you like creating potions and traps and bombs etc to augment your character and playstyle....TW is excellent.

The voice acting is fine....it is just delivered in an odd style that takes a few mins to get used to; but once you do its fine.

The production values are not as high as Oblivion....so the critical types cant get past that....
But the gameplay is superior to Oblivion....IMO.

Also the version of Two Worlds available on GOG is bug-free.

I'm playing the first one now. Agree with pretty much all you said except the voice acting. While some is fairly decent, some of it is downright atrocious. Doesn't really bother me, but if you're the type that it does bother, you'll cringe a lot. Anyway, I'm having a blast with the game. Well worth the few bucks I picked it up for here.
