Longcat: So, it's the cd version after all. Guess I'll skip this one.
I really had more faith in the gog team.

misslilo: It hasn't been released yet, so why do you say this??

Like he says, it was released today. Check the front page. Hit up comments section for a response from gog.

OOPS!
So sorry - I had just been to the frontpage, but it must have gotten released while checking this hread. My bad :)
i never played the game to begin with. so its no big deal whether its cd or dvd. although dvd would have been nice. but at least its easier on my HD, its almost filled up :D
If you've got access to the DVD version, I wonder how hard it would be to transplant the video files into the GOG version?
Not so hard it would seem, I'm doing mpeg1 transcoding of the dvd files as we speak.

Let me know how that goes for you. I'm trying to do the exact same thing, but Overviewer isn't showing any of the video files for some reason, despite me having the bink/smacker tools installed.
Here's the 1 issue I see so far, though. Although it's pretty easy to extract files from the .001 etc files, how do you get the re-encoded files back into it so Overseer can read them?
EDIT: I did a basic re-encode of the Access Software logo (ACCELOGO.vob) into smacker (.smk) which is what the CD version uses, and despite my best efforts at minimizing compression, it still looks really blocky, much more so than the DVD version. However, at least the frame rate is preserved as the original ACCELOGO.smk on the CD version must have about half the frame rate. I'm thinking the key here isn't going to be re-encoding the DVD videos to smacker, but figuring out a way to transplant DVD support into the GOG version (which won't be easy).
