Wait, so the proper installation procedure is installing SSTool on top of the GOG game, eventhough gog game already includes some part of it? Will it not break the installation ?

GOG includes version 4.0. the current one is 4.8. go figure.

runs perfect under linux via wine, so no big deal on the flashyness issue, but i'll post my .log incase it helps others maybe its a 16/23bit issue as i do have the flashy issue with older games like star trek away team

Also, one other thing worth mentioning is that New Dark adds post-processing. You can head into cam_ext.cfg and edit that stuff, should be pretty self-explanatory. Bloom looks quite nice as long as you keep it under control (I especially like the glow on the PSI Amp).

Ok, but is it ok to simply install it over the gog version? Does it overwrite it correctly with everything working?
What is the mod order ? Could you update OP with this info?

yes, it's safe to update. one useless folder will be left (DataPermanentMods), but that is not harmful in any way.

mod order does not matter, but make sure to use ss2tool FIRST.

ss2tools installed, all mods posted earlier installed and everything works perfectly....now just to wait for the fan site to come back up so i can see what other mods i can pop on this. hopefully a mod to add higher res videos. one of the ones posted earlier stated that it was a demo so ill just wait to see what i can get.

apart from that one already posted, no more hires videos are available.

Hey OP The Cutscene Rebirth File Links are dead. The links on the forum lead to files that no longer exist.

I installed SHTUP and I don't see any texture improvement. It's in the right folder and extracted right too.
