For some reason I cannot apply the patch. Here's the log:

Omikron - The Nomad Soul patch log
Update from version 2.0.0.7 to 2.0.1.8

Incorrect version of: drive:\path\Omikron - The Nomad Soul\patch.dll

The patch not working is rather unfortunate since I'm experiencing blue fog, screen flickering and other kinds of graphical glitches... Help would be greatly appreciated.

You may have a corrupted download. Try downloading the patch again and installing it. Also, make sure to turn off your antivirus software and run the patch as Administrator. If none of that helps, please write to us via the Support link and we'll get you squared away ASAP. Thanks :D

I already tried all of the above, unfortunately to no avail. But I tinkered a bit with the settings and for some strange reason, choosing one of the lower resolutions as well as setting the draw distance to "very far" took care of the awful flickering screen and the glitchy fog. Must be one of the many quirks of my onboard graphic card...

Long story short - even without the patch the game is now perfectly playable. Thanks for the quick answer, anyway!
I'm having problems with forced anti-aliasing. Indoor environments look alright, but outside things get really messed up graphically (Qalisar looks particularly awful). Is anyone else playing with forced AA in a Nvidia card? I wish I could play this with AA on, since the game looks so much better with the smooth edges. Please help!

P.S. See attachment!

I don't see a problem, or maybe I have it, too, and just thought it's the way of the game. It looks that way on my Invidia but it looked the same on a previous non-Invidia card.
Is there no way to have the game run in 32-bit colour constantly? Why does it have to switch to 16-bit colours whenever subtitles appear on the screen? Just curious.

I'm having the same patch error. Not sure why it's doing it. Tried redownloading the patch and reinstalling the game. Also tried disabling my anti-virus, didn't help..

EDIT: Saw the sticky thread, guess I'll be contacting support.. seems to be more of a patcher issue than a user error though, there are more people with this problem.

I had to get a trainer/cheats for the shooting scene on roof as I can't aim my gun due to mouse movement. I can use all cheats .i.e F1 for health, F4 for seteks, but F5 for health in shoot mode does nothing. Any clues??
I have been stuck on the roof for days now :(
Hi everyone,

I was wondering whether someone had managed to either increase clipping distance beyond what the menu will allow, or somehow get rid of that horrible blue fog.

Thanks alot

Actually, the blue fog problem has already been solved with that (memory) patch here on GOG quite a while ago
Hello, blue and black fog (it is in fact flickering of blue squares that cover a fourth of the screen, as if the buffering would be wrong), screen flickering and other kinds of graphical glitches are still there in my case. I downloaded the game in April 2014, my computer is netbook HP Mini with 2 GB RAM and Intel GMA 3600. Should I install the patch? Where can I find a proper version of this patch? Any ideas how to get rid of this problem?

timeslip: Alas, my desktop has an ati card and has the zbuffer problems, and my netbook has one of the older intel integrated chips and wont run it at all. :( I am planning on getting a nvidia machine once haswell shows up, which by the sounds of it would have run it.
Is that positive? Netbooks cannot run it? I am about to get an 8.1 netbook to see if... because this W7 is failing several games, but not others supposedly unrunnable in a netbook. I am reading extensively to see if I can enable Omikron in this one then will try on 8.1.
I bought this game in the bundle sale and tried to get it to run on 1920x1080. Game crashes my PC in the menu - have to start my PC again. Running on WinXP DX9 - Nvidia GTX650Ti w/ 1GB VRAM. Any ideas? If I use lower resolutions the game starts but I am not able to force AA then the game crashes again - same when I try to disable the patch like it is told here in the thread. No such problems with the boxed game.
