4 1/2 years ago? It had to be one of the Sierra "Quest" series games (I grew up in the 80s & played them).

EDIT: Nope, just sorted by date and it turns out to be the original Fallout! Bow to the king of rpgs!

The Master of Orion bundle. I'd actually been struggling to get my version to work with Vista and failed, failed, failed. :(

I stumbled across GOG on Facebook, saw the catalogue and picked up Empire Earth and the Fallouts pretty soon after MoO.
