AstralWanderer: Update on Pro Pinball - digital copies will be available DRM-free, but exclusively to Kickstarter backers.

DukeNukemForever: Big Race USA is now free for everyone on the kickstarter page.
Hmm. Nice for people that don't have it. But for everyone who has bought it on digital distribution sites, it's a bit annoying.
My company is developing a Skateboarding game for the iPhone and iPad called (SkateKing)

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/821112238/skate-king-a-fingerboarding-game-for-the-iphone-an

We are currently working on a playable prototype for the skateboard controls and should be done by the end of this week. We are including a level editor that will allow the user to make custom built skate parks.

We also have licensing agreements with 6 real world skate companies and are negotiating with several other for licensing as well.

We have 2 levels already created and are planning on having 6 others.

The attached pics are in the Unity game engine

Is it just me or has the popularity of Unity exploded recently? Especially with Kickstarter? I didn't see it mentioned much a year or so ago, but now it's all over the place.
A big reason unity has gotten so popular is simply because it is cheap. for a few thousand dollars you can get a really powerful fully functional game engine. as opposed you unreal or something like that for a hundreds of thousands of dollars (plus I think unreal is a million dollars but im not 100% sure on that) And unity is relatively easy to use and has amazing support features.
I think what Sharptoothstudio said is essentially correct. Although you can use UDK for "free" they just take a large chunk of your games profits. I think another reason you're seeing a lot of unity games is that, more people have learned about unity and it's much more accessible in comparison to UDK. Unity 4 also happens to be coming out soon which "should" make it more comparable to Unreal and CryEngine in terms of graphics. Can't wait to inject the technology into Arakion!
THIS (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/michaellaine/space-elevator-science-climb-to-the-sky-a-tethered) is awesome. I hope it has not been posted yet.

These guys are trying to build a model of a space elevator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_elevator), a much more elegant way of getting into space than rockets.

If you are somehow into sciency, experimental projects back it. It is of course right that: an experiment, but I think well worth it.

And only 27hrs to go.
I command you to love the space elevator ;) (bump)
This one looks interesting: Pangenic, a turn-based tactics game with a setting based in the victorian era, but with a difference, the enemies are animals and plants mutated by disease and the heroes are scientists looking for a cure. They're asking for 45k
Expeditions: Conquistador is now closed and successfully funded at a bit over $77k. They said that even though they didn't quite reach their first stretch, they're going to implement as many passive abilities as they can and think about other ways to add more customization. In addition, they'll be setting up a Paypal which will go towards the stretch goal and will have the same reward tiers as the Kickstarter.

Looks interesting, like a Pathologic RPG. xD I have to say, though, that I don't like their in-combat style too much. I know they're going for a "game pieces" feel, but the lack of animations still feels iffy to me. I still may very well back it in the future, tho.

Regarding the Catacombs kickstarter about porting the series to Iphone, I asked the author about including the original MS-DOS ones as rewards or contact GOG about sell them here and he answered they just reached agreement with GOG and soon we will able to buy them.

I didn't want to add it to our list, but this changed my mind.
Updated.

I also didn't want to add Skate King, but personally, I think any developer who is nice enough to sign up here to spa-- I mean discuss their game is alright, even if I frown when I see iOS-only games. :P

Hey guys, just wanted to stop in to say thanks, the Kickstarter is over 35% on it's sixth day. Arakion has received some amazing support from GOG! Thanks to everyone that has taken the time to look through the Kickstarter and a big thanks if you pledged. As long as we keep this up, Arakion is going to be a great game for everyone to enjoy! If you like the game, remember to please tell your friends about it so we keep up momentum!

Remember if you have questions, ask them and I'll get back to it as soon as I see it.
This one seems interesting. Papier, and adventure game with a paper, sketches, and ink visual style. Looks promising, but I'd like to know a bit more about the actual gameplay first. Plus $140,000 seems a little... optimisic. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spycraftstudios/papier-adventure/?ref=kicktraq
Well I supposed someone has to mention Obsidian's project eternity here.

Steam only unfortunately, like Chivalry: Medieval Warfare (was about to back them).
