lowyhong: I fear the "Online" part will work against it, since only at the $1m stretch goal will we see a singleplayer mode. This was the very same problem that plagued Ground Branch, a quite anticipated title by itself, and even then their stretch goal was a lot less than this.

SCPM: I think that the reason this project likely won't meet even their lowest goal is that they (and so many other KS projects) don't seem to know how to 'sell' themselves. There haven't been any new backers since I first checked their page. Their description of the game and their rewards for backers are uninteresting, and their reasons for needing to use KS are vague. It's a shame since I would've liked to have seen the $500k stretch goal of having the original Armada rewritten for PC as a free release.
If their goal was simply just to release an updated version of the original armada on pc, they would see more success. Still own and play that dreamcast game.
I encourage everyone to go back Conquistador. 9 days left, needing 15k. It'll probably just make it, but I'd really love to see it go beyond because it looks awesome. :D
Indeed. And J.E. Sawyer is also a backer of Expeditions : Conquistador !

Actually nobody cares about that except Doshu ( who spotted him in the backer's list ) and I :D

Oh yeah, I saw that. Props to Sawyer for supporting cool indie RPGs. :)
Btw, speaking of Expeditions. Some may be interested to know that several members of the team were instrumental in the creation of The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex. I'm surprised they haven't used that for publicity since it's a pretty popular mod.
Cypress Inheritance has also been suddenly cancelled funding by the creator with no warning or explanation. I thought the project looked interesting too.

Hm, odd. It seemed potentially interesting, even if the presentation of the Kickstarter was pretty bad.
Another space game in the works...

MORE - oldschool turn-based 4X space strategy game

$0 raised and 0 backers after a week and a half? Even Dressed to Win managed better than that. :)

That looks very sexy.

What, Dressed to Win? That confirms it - I knew you were the second backer! :D

More seriously, yes MORE does look -ahem- MOREish...
Yeah it saddens me the project was canned. I always wanted to be morphed into a 3-D graphical explosion.
I just saw Super Off-Road
From the creators of Bang Bang Racing. Doesn't have much of a chance, But I like the look of it.

No mention at Project C.A.R.S ( Community Assisted Racing Simulation ) here yet ? :)

Take a look at:
http://www.wmdportal.com/

You can play pre-alpha Builds and watch the game being made.
It's made by the guys who did GTR,GTR2,BMW M3 Challenge ( Free BMW promo game )
and under EA they did shift1+2 and with this project they're trying to combine their physics knowledge from the earlier projects with the shift graphics engine. :)

You can influence and talk to the devs on the forum. You even get your money back or more if they sell 250k or more etc.. Seems like an even better concept than kickstarter and the likes.

Homestuck is doing a Kickstarter for a spin-off adventure game.

So far merely in the planning stages, and the game won't be out until 2014 at the earliest, as Andrew Hussie wants to finish the comic before starting serious work on it, which will happen sometime in 2013.

Considering this is, like, my favoritest webcomic evar I pledged 25 boondollars for the digital download + soundtrack.
