Shadow Remnants is closing soon (Sep 1) and with just over 10% funding ($8,266 out of $75,000) doesn't look likely to make it. However if you like turn-based fantasy, do check it out.

AstralWanderer: Something I didn't note originally, but Pray for Dark (Oct 14, mentioned but not listed, nudge, nudge) describes itself as "inspired by characters created by gothic artist BROM" so those interested in one may wish to check out the other
Not sure I want to add it in. It looks like the sort of game that you find on Gamersgate for $3. If they didn't post that it is being developed on UE3, I would never have guessed.

Nvm I've added it in, and updated the list.

Planetary Annihilation and Project Giana recently surpassed the 100% mark. Mercenary Kings is pretty close to it. :D
I'm now also backing the new Broken Sword game on Kickstarter. I like the 3D characters on 2D background graphics. Another small but nice feature is that all backers will get their games also on GOG, at least they say so in the FAQ.

Armada Online is now on Kickstarter. The game has been in a playable alpha state for the better part of a decade. It's a sci-fi, top-down multi-player action RPG. I seem to recall I enjoyed it a few years back but forgot about it after I was swamped with work. I'll give it another shot and if it's as good as I remember I'll back this project.
Nice to see Giana made it. Guess the demo won a lot of people over.

It was definitely smart of them to release a demo. I see a lot of Kickstarter projects that sound interesting, but words only go so far. A demo can go a long way towards getting backers.

Also, Expeditions: Conquistador is officially my first thing I've backed on Kickstarter. Everyone go back it so it reaches its goal and then its stretch goals. :)

Tell that to the AR-K team ;P...

I fear the "Online" part will work against it, since only at the $1m stretch goal will we see a singleplayer mode. This was the very same problem that plagued Ground Branch, a quite anticipated title by itself, and even then their stretch goal was a lot less than this.

I think that the reason this project likely won't meet even their lowest goal is that they (and so many other KS projects) don't seem to know how to 'sell' themselves. There haven't been any new backers since I first checked their page. Their description of the game and their rewards for backers are uninteresting, and their reasons for needing to use KS are vague. It's a shame since I would've liked to have seen the $500k stretch goal of having the original Armada rewritten for PC as a free release.
Power Nap: The Sleep of Reason Bring Forth Monsters. In the near future, the human need for sleep can be suppressed with drugs. Power Nap follows Drew Spencer, a man allergic to the aptly named "Z-Sup" drug.

The artist and writer are seeking funds to make the transition to print. IndieGoGo campaign

That aside, Armada Online is a really cool game. People really should give it a shot.

Not ALL backers.

$15.00 nets you the new game (BS5)
$25.00+ nets you 1 GOG games from their catalog.
$50.00+ nets you all GOG games from their catalog.

Its one of the better pricing schemes I've seen, but only the $50.00 plus backers get everything and only 25.00 plug get one. (to clarify).

All backers will be getting the new game on GOG.
All Kickstarter backers will get GOG.com codes for 'Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse' for the PC version - and Mac from somewhere that hasn't yet been decided . We haven't yet reached an agreement with Steam, but would expect to be able to provide Steam keys for people who want them. Sorry that we can't be more specific at this time.

Starmaker:
"the new game" isn't what I was clarifying.
"their games" is.

no one should assume they get free gogs unless they back high enough.
