I'm not sure if anybody has mentioned it, but Ogre looks pretty cool. I don't have money to back it, but perhaps some people are interested.

I forgot to add this. Thanks for reminding me. I still don't know why Steve just can't find a reasonable international shipping solution. A guy with a name as big as his should have some contacts.

Yeah, it looks like fun, and he seems to have a really good sense of humor. I like that he's hundreds of thousands of dollars over the goal of $20k. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to pick up a copy later on when I have money.

I am kind of sad though that I'm tapped out on KS contributions for the time being. Dreaming about what these projects will be like when completed is likely to be almost as good as having them.
Jane Jensen's Moebius might be available to get on GOG, if GOG accept it after beta (as stated on kickstarter page).

Interesting tech, but not sure if I'd want to play this. The KS video shows a lot of digging and mining, but little else in the way of gameplay.

Still, I'm bookmarking this, just to see what new updates they have.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned here, but Chuck's Challenge 3D has about 40 hour left to go, and is a little over $1,000 away from it's goal.

If you're a fan of the original Chip's Challenge (or similar top-down puzzle games). Chuck's Challenge 3D is the direct successor to Chip's Challenge (they weren't able to reuse the name), and is a nicer looking PC/Mac remake of the original iOS game, Chuck's Challenge. I don't know whether this version will include new sets of levels from the creators (both games allow for user-created levels, however), and Linux support is unlikely due to technical reasons (specifically, Unity 3D).

The minimum for securing a copy of the game is $5, half of what the price of the game will be on release. Originally, they considered giving either the full game or $10 worth of in-game credits. They (thankfully) decided on the former, but are unable to change the reward pledge text, so you can safely ignore that part of it.

The actual method of distribution is vague. It sounds like they, unfortunately, have only considered Steam. Hopefully they get enough feedback to consider their other options.

I just know that I liked the original Chip's Challenge, and I'm looking forward to playing 100+ more levels and everything else the game has to offer. I'm really hoping to see this one get at least the $1,000 more that they need.
I love Chip's Challenge, but somehow Chuck's Challenge just doesn't appeal to me. I'm not sure why either. :(

I like the idea, but the budget is probably completely unrealistic, unless it's going to be a very small sandbox game. They're trying to make a much larger game with half what Al Lowe is asking for for LSL and $150k less than what DFA wanted. Keep in mind that the original plan from DFA involved three people doing all the work.

It's a bit ambiguous as to what exactly they're needing the money for, if it's mostly clean ups, well that's much more realistic.

But, I really do hope they manage to get funded and follow through, I just have some skepticism about their budget.
Valdis Story is finished and funded. Maybe a small "Funded" tag next to that project in the OP?

I remove all funded games. Do you all think they should still be in the list (serious question)?

Maybe the successful ones could get a "Recently Funded and Successful" section and then be removed after, say, a week or so. Just a thought.

I'll think about it, man. May be too much trouble than it's worth.
No way Portal is getting funded unless some crazy millionaire jumps on board. Nekro has trouble reaching 100k, Portal is much more niche than that. And they sunk 2/3 to 3/4 of the goal into third-party goods. Too bad, because I really want that game.

Because it's nonsense to ask for 900k. Not for such game, I never heard about it before.

I'd say it would be hard to reach 200k. And I can imagine, they could do it with 200k, just leave voices out, and use some free stuff (like AGS). With 200k they could get great graphics, make great scenario, and get someone to code it.

They stated outright they can do everything they planned for $200-300k. The rest is collectables. HOLY SHIT.

On the other hand, this guy did everything right, he's just damn lazy. He's an artist offering commissions. When did the demand for aeris recolors tank? But, dude, "too lazy to promote your kickstarter but not too lazy to fulfill the pledges" is a very specific kind of lazy.
