SirPrimalform: Never said anything of the sort. What you said implied they didn't like games made by Japanese people, but were fine with the same kind of games made by Westerners.
Starmaker: "JRPG" is a distinctive style of RPG, much like a platformer is a particular style of arcade. While this style is particularly popular with Japanese devs, there's no reason Westerners can't make a "JRPG".
However, when Western people do make such a game, they are often "inspired" by particular games so much that in addition to imitating the mechanics, they produce a twice-digested sorry pile of misunderstanding. I bet you a hundred bucks that if someone made a random selection of undoctored
backstory synopsises only from various RPGs made and proposed
by Westerners, I'll easily tell which ones are, or are meant to be, "JRPGs".
This game, however, is very in-your-face about NOT having any crystal maiden regurgitated wtf in it. And that's good.
So it's only westerners that try to make JRPGs that are a problem.
Because I thought the Codex also hated JRPGs made in Japan by Japanese people (theoretically) for other Japanese people.
