Tales of Monkey Island, all Sam & Max games, and more from Telltale 80% off.

For the last 8 years the talented people at the Telltale Games studio have been delivering the best point-n-click adventures, featuring many of the all-time favorite characters, to our computers' screens. Their episodic publishing formula allowed a steady flow of development and gave the devs time to carefully and lovingly polish all the fine details of their games. Each episode is a little shiny gem, priceless and unique. But here's a thing about buying jewels: you can usually only afford one at a time. So what if you want to catch up with a whole season of episodes of a Telltale adventure--an equivalent of a box full of jewels? You [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/telltale_weekend_promo_9_11_12/]get it 80% off on GOG.com!

The Tales of Monkey Island--starring the world famous hapless pirate, Guybrush Threepwood--offers five chapters of fantastic fun for less than $7!

Back to the Future: The Game offers you a glimpse into the adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown, that took place after (or before--time travel is tricky) the movie storyline. Get it for less than $5!

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures features the very British pair of comedians, that starred in many critically acclaimed movies (well, stop-motion claynimations, actually). The entire season of four episodes can be yours for less than $4!

And last, but not in any way the least: Sam and Max, the freelance sleuth duo consisting of a dog in a trenchcoat and notoriously naked white rabbit, are well known to any adventure fan. Now you can get the entire collection of their adventures--all sixteen episodes produced by Telltale spanning over three seasons: Sam & Max Save the World, Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space, and Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse--for less than $20!

The GOG.com point-n-click all you can eat buffet is now open, so you can finally satisfy your hunger for great Telltale adventures, 80% off! The promo will last until Tuesday, November 13, at 4:59AM GMT.

And in case you missed it, here's what's new... I mean: here's the new episode of our weekly show:

HiPhish: 80%, seriously? I already think Steam's absurd 75% sales are destroying the value of games, I really hope this is not going to become the rule here as well.

F4LL0UT: Well, I guess the publishers decide what percentage to go with and if Telltale thinks that an 80% promo does not hurt the value of their games... I'm not gonna complain. I think the regular prices for the Telltale games are way to steep, especially when comparing them to some of the classics from Sierra also available here. I wouldn't even consider buying them without such a massive promo.
They started with a 65% off release sale, so it was very likely that the "regular" price drop will be higher. Telltale loves high prices to show quality and then to offer high sale drops to catch the masses. I'm fine with that. Need to think if I should rebuy some of my games I bought directly from Telltale. I hoped they would also remove the drm on their own shop, but at the moment I can't see any indication for that.

Too good a deal to not go for. The only thing I didn't get was the Monkey Island portion, since that is already with my Steam account and has already been played through.
I wonder if gog be getting the mac versions of these games any time..

If not.. :(
Back to the Future for 5 bucks, I'll be eating salted bread for the next few days, but damnit, that is so worth it! Thank you for finally starting to properly devalue gaming industry, GOG!

edit: Oh cool, there's even an installation script for playonlinux for GOG version

I bought them during the release promo, can't remember if that was 40 or 50 or 60% off to think I could have waited since I still haven't got around to playing any. Oh well not to complain I might break a leg one day and have more time to play but would that be a good thing or not?

At 80% off I dare adventure gamers to say no.
Bought the 'Wallace and Gromit' games and 'Tales of Monkey Island' (despite the fact, that I already own the latter on Steam).
The 'BTTF' games are...well...not really good, imho. And I was never interested in 'Sam and Max'.
TellTale Games always overprice their games, methinks. So even after a great (I would say outstanding) discount, the game costs like an average game on GOG.

Great going though, hope such discounts become a trend for the greedy gamer I am.
80% basically tells you that the normal price is just a number, nothing meaningful. A company that makes such lottery games deserves that people only buy at at least 80% discount if at all. How do the people who paid full price feel now.

I still find the games expensive.. even at an 80% discount price tag...

That's a problem of the people who bought it full-price tho, isn't it? The game's price would drop to 5 bucks or less eventually anyway, so if someone doesn't want to pay full price, why would he do such a thing?

Where's the Mac version of these games? Why aren't the versions bundled together?
Fantastic promo. I would thank you GOG, but you've taken all my money so I think we're even :P
Awesome promo, thanks.

I already own all these games directly from Telltale, but those Sam and Max soundtracks are so tempting...
