http://www.gameshield.com/ is the official DRM of Torchlight, they just dropped the name for everyone on the corporate website.
The countdown went to zero a couple minutes ago.
Demo and full game are available for download on Steam RIGHT NOW despite what the storefront says, restart Steam if you aren't seeing it.

It says they provide DRM for flash games. Why the hell would flash games need DRM. Ugh.
Any word what components are used for Torchlight?

Spent the afternoon having fun with the demo.
Great game, very Diabloish, but with a few good twists.
The demo has a good amount of content, but also has the strange limit of level 7 to your character level.
I kind of wonder, why the hell would someone do a Diablo clone without multiplayer. It kills much of the possibilities within the game.
Well, this one didn't disappoint. Loving it so far.
Man... what a game!
Seriously, just tried the game here, and OH MY GOD!! It's all great, the graphics (oh, how they're lovely for my computer), the art style, the animations (THE ANIMATIONS!), the sound, music, etc. All are great.
Worst part: I can't buy this thing now! And I still blame michaelleung for speaking about this game on another thread, otherwise I would probably not know about it and would be happy being in the dark! (I think...)

You're welcome.
You'd bound to find out about the awesomeness of this game sooner or later.
I just chose a Destroyer for Easy (I'll pick Alchemist for Hard when I finish Easy) and I hit Level 2 after doing a quest (I wish there were spoiler tags so I wouldn't have to be so vague) and I'm enjoying the game a lot. Worth every penny, even more. I'd pay a full $50 for this alone.

It's a pretty great game. IMO, easy and normal are both too easy, at least where I am (the third scene change in the dungeons).
Anyways, for the soundtrack lovers among us, the sound files are just sitting in the music directory in the .ogg format.
I just tried the demo...it's like the "Team Fortress 2" of Diablo clones. No multiplayer is a head-scratcher, especail;ly since several AI characters join you, but I am damn near definitely buying this.
I just saw the trailer for Shattered Horizon....futuremark is a good name for the developer, you need a computer from the future to play it!

I'm waiting until release to see what the fuss is all about. I've been on the wrong end of hype and bought games that I've been so psyched about and I end up hating it. (I'm looking at you, Joint Task Force)

I'm almost done on very hard; I really don't find it that bad. But maybe I am just awesome. ;)
Soundtrack, nice!
By the way, here's the DRM:
"Basically you get a key and unlock the game, and then it stays unlocked. We issue 10 unlocks by default, and if you run out, you call and snag some more. There's no rootkit craziness or any other junk - it just checks in once when you unlock to decrement the key count. We don't care if you install it on multiple computers you own."

I just tried the demo and was pleasantly surprised to find that it runs on my pc. A game that was released after 2006 and still runs on my pc is a rarity.
Game seemed pretty fun, will purchase one day. Hopefully a sale will occur in the not too distant future

It can run on about a nine year old PC. If you couldnt run it, I'd be really worried for you. :P
The reason there is no multiplayer is that the project was pretty focused and they got it out of the door in about eleven months. They plan on having a free to play MMO with micro-transactions (most likely one person buying dungeon maps and inviting others to their maps) but that is about eighteen months off.
For $20, this is a great value and a fun game.
