It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The startup speed of the Steam client has increased considerably, which I can only assume is due to the Webkit engine. So that gets the thumbs up.
I like the new Games library, but the new Store page seems to be a step backwards in terms of layout and intuitiveness. I didn't think it was possible to increase the bombardment of advertising prevalent on Steam, but someone obviously found a way.
This is all pretty academic at present, though, as HOMM3/ Arcanum will be vying for my attention for a very long time yet.
Looks hundred times better than the old one.
It made me wonder why they never revamped their look anyway...
Hey, maybe it means we will get HL 2: EP 3 8DDDD

bansama: I can't even use it. It literally hurts my eyes looking at it for more than a few seconds.

Is your monitor brightness up too high or something?!
Oh god it loads way faster and NO FUCKING INTERNET EXPLORER.
I like it.
Zune UI much?
Not a bad UI to imitate, however.
Annoyance: Game library sort preference is not saving upon restart. I'm sure that they will fix that, however.

Aside from the new taskbar icon, which looks odd, I love the new look. It reminds me of the PC Zune client.
I don't know why but I didn't like it one bit at all. Older interface was neater, much quicker to find what I wanted to fine. More segmented. Now they jumble too much on the screen at once. I like a clean interface, not a cool looking one. Reverting from Beta to original now.......

Nope. If anything, it's turned down. If something is too bright, it pretty much renders me blind anyhow.

AndrewC: From what I know they're using the bittorrent tech (the peer-to-peer connection part more specifically) for voice-chat in the Steam overlay/friends thingy (not in-game) but I can be wrong on this.

That may be so, but I also recall there being hidden menu settings specifically aimed at torrent use for downloading game files.
Is it me or are the download speeds noticably faster? I've never seen a consistent 500kb/s download ever! (Yeah, so much for British internet speeds...)

Nah, I get that all the time. I can't see to change my content server location though.
I noticed higher, or at least more consistent speeds. But it could just be a trick of the light (turned red into green).
If i was able to actually click on something without it crashing and me having to spend 10 minutes logging back on i would like it.The old version seemed t be slightly more stable it would only crash when i tried to play something. Am i doing something wrong. its so unstable on my system
It looks nicer than before, but wish it was still possible to change the content server location. Hopefully they'll put the option back in later.
