I guess I'm late to the party. I'll just say something:
Times are changing, when I was a teenager almost 10 years ago and started playing some MMOs, girls were, luckily, the 2% of a server. Today, while playing Arche Age, I'd say that almost 20% of a server is populated by females.
Let's be realistic, the gaming scene is still populated by mostly male audience, but women audiences is growing as technology started to aproach more and more in our lives. Computers were saw as a male thing, as cars or Duke Nukem, but (and I'm really glad to say it) not anymore.
Doing an only male giveaway it's not really a good idea , since it would be almost like a normal giveaway but excluding females.
So... is a good idea to do an only-female giveaway?
If we are talking on what is fair, not really.
But, at the same time, why it should be fair?
You do the giveaway, you make the rules.
I wouldn't expect to see anyone whining about an only +1000 reputation giveaway or something like that.
I know that male vs female rights may make us all see this differently, and beyond this forum I'm an active anti-positive action and anti-usage of the term feminist to refer gender equality, but I will not take part on a stupid discussion on a place were we all are for the same thing: WE fucking love games.
PS: About the shower chat back there, don't point at me, I care for my hygiene, had one two weeks ago.
Not really.
It was three.
