Npl: They are two different characters, but they complement each other beautifully.
These two?
No idea on the other clues... pretty sure a game I never heard or cared about =(

ha! my first thought was Gabriel and Grace but my second thought was Gobliins 2. That can't be it, though. If GOG is bringing the goblins series they'll get all 3 games so it doesn't make sense to only hint at the second game in the series. They should bring Gobliiins 4 since most people don't even know it was released last year.
How about Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing? That's sure to kill a hype-hardon

Efrath: Personally, I'm hoping for any of these
BALDURS GATE 1-2 + EXPANSIONS
ICEWIND DALE 1+2
PLANESCAPE TORMENT
YESSSSSSssssssssssssss...
10 dollars for a game that lasts 60+ hours. Awsum Y/N?

I hope not ... I already have all of these :p

Oh, come on. We know it's at least ActiBlizz now. The clues have spelled out that much.

or Math Blaster
or 7th Level games(who remembers that?)
or Tek War
or The Space Bar(this one would not kill my hype,I mean the Steve Meretzky game)
or Doom

Sorry, but we still don't know that will be ActiBlizz.

captfitz: This thread should be considered closed, it is Sierra.
EDIT: Also, two of the likely games that we would get are NOLF2 and Contract J.A.C.K. Cate Archer and John Jack do complement each other pretty beautifully. H.A.R.M and J.A.C.K. I mean, seeing as that's the only clue that can't really be hammered down at this point.

Delixe: Will I be hit by stones if I say I don't believe it's Activision? Bobby Kotick people. While I agree some clues lead you to believe Activision not all of them do.

I believe you, I think Sierra has gotten permission from Acti/Blizz to release games from franchises that they no longer care too much about.

In an attempt to keep this thread alive, I am afraid I must offer a counter to this, as well as several of the previous few posts.
Sierra. Really? I mean, yes, they have published alot of good games, many a time I have run a game on my PC and have been greeted by the Sierra intro, but do they warrent all this hype, a countdown timer, and having thier arrival billed as the best thing to happen to GOG since the site went public? No. Particularly in the light of this (supposedly) being a "top three" publisher. Does that mean we won't see any Sierra games? Of course not. All I am saying is keep the options open, the people that run this site can be tricky little people, although I would say, in my non commital way, that most of the clues seem to point to troika, and as cogadh said yesterday, troika=sierra=actiblizz.

First clue literally spells out Troika. Fifth clue could not be anything other than Arcanum which not only is a place in Ohio but is also "truly Ohio's' best kept secret".
I just want to see captfitz eats his sock, really...

Not any more it isn't.

Wealin: This is why I say hyping this too much for some people can let them down. Hoping that more than two games come from the announcement.

Well, of course. But GOG aren't giving everything away before the announcement. We'll get some good stuff tomorrow, and then more good stuff later on - "the biggest deal in GOG's history" is obviously not going to be a two game deal... :-)

Ha! Hence the quotation marks.

Well, since Sierra has been been acquired by... wait for it... a "top three" publisher, Activision Blizzard, I think that Sierra would still be plausible if and only if ActiBlizz has agreed to be on GOG.

Here's some non-guessing for a change!
Given the enormous anticipation of this "big announcement", it may be safely said the servers will suffer a massive (over)load. Since I don't suppose the staff has expanded the site's server park for this event, many visitors probably means even more won't be able to load the page (see: Christamas sale).
For this, I encourage every single fellow GOGer to only remain on the site for a few minutes after the announcement, reading it and maybe commenting it briefly. Please, let's keep lenghtier discussions about the announcement for later, when there is smaller interest in the site.
I know I will do so, and I ask everyone to follow my example.
Also, a suggestion to everyone: use an RSS feed reader if you don't do so alrady. Even if you can't log on to GOG due to the amount of people on the site, you'll be able to read the news article announcing whatever will be announced.
I think you guys may be overlooking something (which may well have been already said by someone else).
My idea: each hint is part of a different company or surprise. Most guesses were trying to connect all hints but what if each hint is really for a separate part of the surprise? Troika may well indeed be Troika games but what if Gabriel Knight and other games are part of the revelation as well! They never said there was just one answer. It would fit the "biggest announcement yet" line.
