Why TBS still not released ?
The DRM-free version is a fake...
What is the problem to release the game on different channels at the same time?

I'm sure they do it in order to battle against piracy. DRM-free game may be released after the initial DRM'd period?

Pheace: Unknown deal?
I don't know if it's because I try to not get spoilers related to the story but I didn't find information related to the 'when do the sequels are supposed to be available', 'what format will those be (free dlc, stand alones, patch ......)' and the most likely 'How much'.

tinyE: This is a really stupid thread and pointless to boot.

The best Banner was BY FAR Bill Bixby followed closely by Mark Ruffalo.
Eric Bana and Edward Norton while both fine actors didn't belong anywhere near that character.
The best Master Sagat was in Street fighter 2 turbo. I can't imagine Edward Norton landing a good tiger punch (edit : ... ok ....hulk form wins the day)

Probably the case :/.

cyboff: Really? Because what I see is $45 (33.2 Eur) on GOG vs 39.99 Eur for Standard or 59.99 Eur for Deluxe Edition on Steam (all prices are regular, without that -10%) - so GOG is much cheaper...
avatar
Pheace: You're missing the point. Buying a normal copy of Blackguards yesterday was cheaper on Steam. It's like the base edition was removed.

Yesterday a copy of Blackguards was 25 euro (with a discount to 20 from what I remember). Heck, it was 12,49 on sale during Xmas.
Not sure what people are complaining about. Games released on Early Access could "either' go up or down in price on launch based on various reasons.

Indeed, it happens. If I had realized I would've picked it up already. Now it's on the sales list :)

If you mean the Blackguards chapters, the last/final chapters was released with the release of the game. It's complete as far as I know.

I believe Potzato means since The Banner Saga is episodic (3 in all), he knows nothing (quality and content-wise) of the remaining two that are yet to be made, hence them being an "unknown deal"

If you're talking about TBS, normally, part 2 and part 3 will be stand alone games. But part one is supposed to be able to stand on its own.
That said, some testers have complained that the part one ending does not give a completely satisfying conclusion to the story. Can't say myself, I'm not yet at the end of the game :)

Doh, what was I thinking :p
So....any idea if the current legal trouble surrounding the game has any impact on it being released around here? >_>

What is the legal trouble? Didn't they promise to put it here at some point?

Trilarion:
Angry Birds or Candy Birds is suing them for using the word Saga.

Doubtful that it would influence a GOG release.

There are some legal shenanigans regarding the use of the word "saga" which, as another developer, King.com, claims, could lead to TBS being associated with their own product, Candy Crush Saga. These are apparently the same guys who, at least in the realm of gaming, trademarked the word "candy".

Reminds me of that guy who was notorious for sueing people over the use of the word "edge". >_>

Thanks for the info. How ridiculous. For all I care they should just shutdown Candy Crush Saga in case it really interferes with anything else. :P
