foxworks: I was tempted to post a pic of you two during practice but I'll leave that up to tinyE :D

The-Business: It's here (okay, better search the internet for images of that movie)
haha, how did I forget about this movie?! :D

CarrionCrow: Maybe I haven't played it enough, but Arstotzka sounds like the flag of....inferior groups.

IAmSinistar: Nonsense! Arstotzka is greatest country in world! We only let finest people enter our borders! Unless I'm working that day.

Glory to Arstotzka!
And now I feel the need to play more Papers, Please. People around here have that ability to get me playing and buying things out of sheer enthusiasm.
Data! That's what I love the most. Thanks guys, amazing job! :)
Here are more interesting stats: ]In the first 24 hours of the most recent sale, GOG saw 620,000 unique visitors come to check out the deals. About 90,000 games were sold in the first two days of the promotion :)

Great article, thanks for sharing mate! GOG did a lovely job of explaining their philosophy, and personally I share a lot of it. I've almost completely stopped buying bundles, because it just feels like I'm stocking up on a low-value commodity, even when the games are really great. GOG's approach makes me appreciate each new release on its own merits.

Insomnia, the cure for the common bundle ;-)

This should be GOG's tagline next time! Hell Yeah!

Great article indeed. I really have that feeling that 'big discounts' can be a real disservice though. Nothing saddens me more than seeing people posting in the release threads comments like "wishlisted in wait for a sale" : it really makes me feel like an idiot buying games full price and I think it's an indication that something is broken.
Thank you HypersomniacLive and IAmSinistar for the stats:)

Also thanks to everyone concerned with keeping track and providing game lists.

Must say the Insomnia Promo is the best type game promo I've come across.

The behind the scenes stats are indeed interesting, wish we had access to some of those, like how many of those unique visitors became paying members.

I wonder if they have data regarding what percentage of visitors kept coming back up until the very end of the promo, and what percentage stayed the longest without a break and how long that period was - and I don't mean just being logged in, but actually being active in some way in relation to the promo.

It's also very refreshing that the Insomnia promos boost interest and sales for games that participated in them long after the promos ended - hmm, wonder if that also applies to our pal Jack... ;-P

Well, I thought I was 'done' after the first round. However, as I participated in rounds 2 and 3, I got curious and snatched up more games I initially had little interest in, especially after seeing the excitement of some of our GOGers. :)
I agree, that those statistics are absolutely fantastic, and I can imagine consolidating them required an insane amount of time from both HypersomniacLive and IAmSinistar, so thank you very much for your hard work!
And also thanks to foxworks for finding that interesting article - I always wanted to know, how is this promo evaluated by GOG itself, and find their reasoning to be really very rational and understandable.

And I am also already looking forward to the next Insomnia promo!
I assume it will be again in fall, and hope that most of the people who made that Spring Insomnia tracker topic so much fun will be there too!
