Elvin37: She was discharged today from the hospital they said she is well enough to come home...
I'm very glad to hear that she is better now! Please give your wife my best wishes for a speedy and hopefully painless recovery.

Finally some relief, those needles were really going horribly getting worse and worse but luckily we found an alternative method not a cheap one but at least no needles or blood tests required but its worth every cent even though we are on a tight budget as it is, if only it was covered by the government but it is not, these pills cost around 2.50 a day and around 1300 a year, the injections cost 400 something dollars every 2 weeks but they are covered by the government.

I am just really relieved that she no longer needs to get shots it was just getting unbearable for her to the extremes,

again thanks to everyone for being there for me.

On the bright side they didn't have to go through the neck. They had to do that to me once. The pain wasn't the problem but having someone poking arounf with a giant needle in that area can be downright nasty.

Anyway good to hear and good for Canada taking care of their own. It would be nice if some other near by countries could do that.
Excellent news! I'm really happy for you, Elvin37 and wife. The worst has passed and now she is at home ^_^

Damuna: I have a sharp object phobia, which includes needles. Due to medication that I will have to be on for the rest of my life, I now have to have blood tests every three months, which involve a rather substantial amount of blood being drawn. The first one was the worst, and I had to have five large vials taken. I find the feeling of having blood taken horrible, and the sensation of having the needle removed and the cotton patch placed shocks me. After I have blood tests I always feel pain in my arm and fingertips for days afterwards.

In a few years, I'll need to have surgery, and afterwards I'll have limited mobility and be confined to a bed for a week or so, stuck full of needles and with IVs hanging out. I'm really not looking forward to it.
That does sound quite a bit like my wife's phobia I really wish I could somehow help her through it but doesn't seem to be working very well, I really wish there was a cure for anyone that has that sort of phobia its not a nice thing to have, but you are doing well and are brave and strong! I believe in you!
I'm glad she's home :)
My mom's Dilaudid costs 500.00 for each drip packet. She's been hospitalized for nearly 6 months now with $500,000 plus in services/treatments.

Your wife is very fortunate.

I asked God to transfer Mom's cancer to me since I am much younger and can handle it. He did not. But alternative medicine seems to be working where western medicine has not.

good news bro, good to know she is home
Good luck to the both of you. What a shocker!
She was rushed to the hospital today again, she was having much difficulty breathing but they let her go home after a few hours a blood test and x rays so that went all right, she did a lot better with the blood test this time around.

Man sorry to hear there were complications. Glad to hear she did better with the fears this time. I know my time in hospital got me right over the squeamishness of having blood drawn.

I'm pulling for her to do well and get all this behind her.
Hang in there, Elvin. You're doing a great job taking care of your wife, and it sounds like despite today's issue she is getting better. Hopefully things get easier.

Oh my, I am so sorry but I'm so glad she is ok and did better with the tests.
Hang in there bud! Tell her we're all rooting for her :-)
Sorry to hear that Elvin37, but I am glad she is already home and coping so well with her phobia.
