I don't need anyone here telling me, this has been discussed all over the internet, but this coming from me who is new to the series and just bought all 3 games so I'm starting the franchise from beginning to end. Now I'm aware of the whole ending fiasco, but to your suprise I'm not on the side saying, "THE ENDING WAS A PIECE OF SHIT,F#CK YOU BIOWARE" because I read what the ending is and I realized that imo the reason gamers think the ending was bad is because Shepard does not survive in any of the endings, he could either die a hero's death or "Shepard was evil he deserved to die" death, but ( I have not played 3 yet, but my brother has been playing it so much he told me) do gamers realize there is an ending where Shepard does live, and no it's not the "alleged" upcoming dlc, it's already there. My brother said that in order to get the "Perfect" ending you have to get enough "war assets" to complete your military fleet against the reapers then maximize it's effectiveness. Doing this in the single player takes longer and harder, but doing it in the multiplayer will be faster. So far my brother has not reached it yet and I'm just starting the series from the first one.
I am certein you guys already know about getting the perfect ending from the war assets system, but given how the fans raged against Bioware demaneding them to give a "better" ending dlc to me fans overlooked that the ending they wanted was already there.
(I am new to the series so I am open to corrections)

You've spelt several of your words wrong.

lol you are always helping me improve my writing my freind :)
A thread about the ending of ME 3. A forum can never have enough of those ....
For the nth time: Shepard can die all Bioware wants (in fact they've killed him in retarded ME2 already), the galaxy can die, the characters can die I couldn't give a crap as long as its a satisfying ending in that makes at least some sense and follows on your galaxy-changing actions from a whole 3 40hs games.

The problem with ME3 is that it's ending is nonsensical, disjointed and lame. All your choices from ME+ME2+ME3 didn't affect the endings. All those war assets didn't make any significant difference at all. All you get to decide is the color of your ending, and you only decide that in the last 5 minutes of the game, from a character that was asspulled at the last minute.

If Bioware makes the Normandy ending cutscene make any sense through this DLC of theirs, the universe will shatter out of the impossibility that would happen.

I'm saying "MASS EFFECT 3 WAS A PIECE SHIT,F#CK YOU BIOWARE" because the series should have been better and kept with an interesting story instead of turning into a run and gun game, and I realized that imo the reason gamers think the ending is bad is because bioware gave into streamlining the series. Gamers realize there is an ending which is poor also. I'm just starting the series from the first one, and should quit while i'm ahead to make sure i dont get disappointed.
I am certain you guys will disagree, but seriously, mass effect could have been alot better than it has ended up as. The fans raged against bioware demaneding them to give a "better" ending dlc to me I think fans overlooked that the ending they wanted was already there.

gameon: I agree
Look I've been following the series since day one, but it has not interested me until I've found out it became a trilogy then I decided to wait until all 3 of the games comes out so I could buy them all at once. If it's any consolation I hated the fact that Mass Effect 2 was dumbed down from RPG-Shooter to just plain old shooter with regenrating health and less RPG elements, and I only found out about that recently so I did not throw hate against it when it launched, because I was not using the internet that much
I only played the first Mass Effect game but all the complaining about the third really makes me want to play through the other two just to see what all the fuss is about.

gameon: Hey chill mate, i wasn't having a go at you. I was putting my own opinions in there as a joke post (so it looked like your words, only with subtle humour)

I hope you enjoy playing through the games. But i felt disappointed with the direction they took. Sorry for any confusion.
apology accepted :)

XmXFLUXmX: Mass Effect 3 is a lesson in bad writing. If you want to see how to run a franchise into the ground, or what the word "amateur" means in regards to writing, play Mass Effect 3.

It's all there, the Deus Ex Machina device, Mass Effect 2 having no relevance to the plot of Mass Effect 3, the retcons, it's pathetic.

The actual gameplay itself though, is solid.
never played the deus ex series at all

While that is BLASPHEMY!!! in and of itself, he was talking about the literary "device".
I miss the days when people had personal blogs.
The ending being bad has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not Shepard survives.
By the time you play through al three games, the additional content (free DLC) will be out.
The problem with endings iis that all ther choices amount to the same thing> Damn I would like that The Thing type ending where hero dies and they could do it as couple minutes earlier there is perfect scene for that with shepard and anderson sitting. Its just bad that after all this war we get to see godlike child that decides to change destruction plans because...

Someone should work on generating electricity from one-sided and worthless forum-based messages of hate and idiocy.
