I Live!

I'm in for Harvester (thanks for the anonymous donation)

I lack in spur-of-the-moment creativity but seeing GOG meeting the customer's wishes in lieu of profit says a lot. I think we're getting the best of both worlds with this announcement. Some said catering to a "vocal minority" is a sign of weakness, but if you go about your business without listening to your customers then how do you expect to provide what your customers want? Oh, and I think the previous regional pricing policy significantly impacted more than a "minority".

Anyways, +1 for this giveaway, and +1 for GOG while I'm at it too.
I Live! Thank you IAmSinistar for the giveaway. It's really great to see GOG is listening to its customers, and your giveaway is a perfect way to have a joyous celebration about it. +1

In for Thief Gold.

I live!
And I live for Summoner! =P

What can I say? I joined just recently, though I know the site since longer, and every day I'm amazed. I have never experienced such a step back from an announcement, such care for what the opinions of the users are - not even in smaller, community-like sites. I chose gog to be my main source of games due to the DRM-free policy, but I'd have never expected such honesty. I repeat, I am amazed.

Also, it has one of the best communities around, which helps a lot.

Thanks to one of the most generous users for the giveaway! =)

IN! For Doomdark's Revenge!

I said it in the (growing!) new thread and I'll repeat it here - I waited a long time to join GoG to nab some oldies but goodies and a few DRM free indies. In the short few weeks I've been here, I've seen the company take a loss to appease their customers, I've had a potentially scary customer service issue resolved in a matter of hours with NO PAIN OR EFFORT on my part, I've seen many many games given away and I, a recent goglodyte have already been welcomed into the community in my first (and so far VERY fun) forum game!

I don't know why I waited so long
I am not in and you are not so sinistar. Thanks for the giveaway!
Not in but +1.
I LIVE!

In for a certain 1/2 Vulcan who goes by the name of Thespian (probably to throw us off) to win Harvester ! I guess great minds think alike ;-p

As to a parody, well that eluded me so have this totally hilarious review of Children of the Corn;

As to GOG getting back to their roots, can I just say how much I love a man that knows how to listen, apologize and compromise? Well I'm one of the luckiest women alive because I actually married one ;-) And I'm really, really glad that GOG decided to "man-up" and stick to their principles!

~no sexism was implied in my comments - I'm sure it goes both ways. ~

Oh and some thanks are due here - Thank-you, sinister Sinistar and Anonymous Donor ;-D

Edit: Look! IAmSinistar's rep just made 666 with a giveaway honoring GOG's reception to customer feedback; this is an omenious sign. Everyone run!

I Live!

GOG is the most responsive distribution company I've seen yet; they're traveling internationally to a Game Developer Donvention and hosting a get together with customers - now that is classy.

In for Harvester [Edit: just Harvester].

I Live!

Downfall.

I love how Gog are always looking for new ways that people can experience classic games, such as GOGBook support.
"I Live"

"Sword of the Samurai" seems like a perfect fit for my liking of medieval age.

In respect to GOG, I like it because I think it´s just like that small shop in "You´ve Got Mail", the one the character of Meg Ryan used to run. It was frequented by people who appreciated the personalized care she gave to its customers, unlike the big shop the character of "Tom Hanks" used to run, where people just go like into a supermarket that has no personality.
Actually, GOG seems like an indie place, since even the sales are treated in an experimental way, changing the way they are run and making them look fresh, trying something new always, even if it doesn´t work, but, in that case they just acknowledge what didn´t work and change it, listening to popular demands.
So yes, I picture it like that shop from that movie that caters to those people who care about such things, and even though it´s a shop that needs to make money, it doesn´t prioritize money over everything else, much to the contrary.
At least that´s how I think it looks like.
Thank you.

Thanks for making my point for me, undeadcow. :D

Also, please select one of the games you are entering for. It's easier (and fairer) for me to break out the entrants into game-related batches.
