** Giveaway has ended. ** The winners are posted here, and I would like to thank once more the prize donors who made this one my biggest, longest giveaways to date!

----------------------------------------

To celebrate GOG's return to form and admirable responsiveness to their customers, we're having a giveaway of seventeen GOG games:

Doomdark's Revenge
Downfall
Summoner
Sword of the Samurai
Harvester
Carmageddon Max Pack
Silent Service 1+2
Soul Reaver
Deus Ex
King of Dragon Pass
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
Rise of the Triad: Dark War
Thief Gold
Thief 3: Deadly Shadows
Ground Control 2: Operation Exodus SE
Miasmata
The Cat Lady

To enter, just follow these rules:

1) Declare you are in with "I Live!"

2) State which game you are entering for (you can change this up until the time of drawing, since some games are going to be more requested than others)

3) Add something nice you have to say about GOG. A creative answer, such as a Care Bears movie parody response to the Downfall parody, will give you an extra advantage. :)

Giveaway will run until this Friday. Decision to be rendered by the RNG, with some additional weighing factors based on your responses.

Get rooting!

EDIT1: Awesome addition, an anonymous donor has supplied a copy of Harvester for this giveaway! Many thanks to this secretive soul.

EDIT2: Further awesomeness with another donor supplying a Carmageddon Max Pack for you all to win!

EDIT3: As funk gods Parliament would tell you, the booty cannot be stopped! We have a third donation fleshing out prizes in the form of Silent Service 1+2 from a silent donor. The giveaway is extended an extra 24 hours to cope with all this treasure!

EDIT4: Two more games added, courtesy of P1na. So now Soul Reaver and Deus Ex are among the bounty you can win. Given all the additions the giveaway is now open until Friday.

EDIT5: Two further games to sweeten the pot, this time courtesy of mistermumbles. He has dropped King of Dragon Pass and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri into the prize bag for you all.

EDIT6: We've just hit double-digits on donated games, thanks to john_hatcher kicking in a copy of Rise of the Triad: Dark War, and the always generous samlii ponying up Thief Gold and Thief 3: Deadly Shadows for you lucky souls. This giveaway will now end NO SOONER THAN Friday, but however long it takes for every game to get a least a vote.

EDIT7: A self-professed "german piratey-matey" has come ashore with a shiny new copy of Ground Control 2: Operation Exodus SE for you all to vie for as well now!

EDIT8: dudetterinazor has carried a copy of Miasmata through the turbulent sea for folks to win!

EDIT9: And here comes The Cat Lady to keep Downfall company, courtesy of a shadowy patron who wishes to remain unnamed. A perennial favourite here on GOG, so if you don't have it yet, now's the time to enter!

This just in, I've received an anonymous donation of Harvester to add to the pool. So we've got five games going in a our little party now.
Thanks for another generous giveaway

"I Live!"

In for Summoner please

So, GOG says sorry. Its like a real relationship. Someone says something, the other shouts and then there's the flowers and reconciliation
"I Live!"

In Ground Control 2: Operation Exodus SE, thank you.

Not very creative, so - I love GOG because of DRM-Free and its community. :)

1) I Ilve

2) Summoner

3) I love how the people behind the scenes actually respond in topics and help when they can. Makes is it a very personal experience.

4) Something more creative ;) : here's on still hoping for lucasarts!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEHIwxGA17Y
(awesome youtube channel i discovered today)
"I Live!"
I'm in for Downfall cause of the BEAUTIFUL art :)

Also this video was the reason I got interested in gog :)

But overall I think I like gog cause of the members. Most people who I traded with are very friendly and gog members in general seems really cool people to me. Gog the only forum I post on and I've been pretty happy with the community. Wish there was a way all gog members could gather in real like once a week to grab a drink or two :p

Whoa, how did I miss or forget Summoner coming on here? That looks pretty nice.

Not in, but +1, IAmSinistar.
I Live!

In for "Rise of the Triad: Dark War"

GOG is my favourite place to purchase games because the website is so easy to use and they have tons of old games for great prices, including frequent sales. (Not very creative, but it's the truth :)

I Live!
I'm in for Downfall thank you!
I'm glad that GOG got our message: if you want to succeed in business you have to respect your loyal customers!
:)
Thanks for your generosity, both Sinistar and the anonymous giver!

"I Live!" for Harvester. NEW EDIT: for myself again, as Momo won it in Melhelix's GA. :)

OLD EDIT: for Momo1991, now that I learned she wants the game. ;)

I love the great Community, GOG core values (moreso now they've decided to address the fair prices issue in that way), and their care about customers each time one has something of a problem... and their disposition to laugh at themselves when it's necessary, as they did with their Downfall reply to the Downfall parody. :)

Not sure if it's suitable for creativity, but I made this meme (check the attached pic) not long after joining the Community. :D

I live! Count me in for Carmageddon Max Pack. (edited)

I'll come up with a creative answer....ah, here we go:

Hi, Billy Mays here for GOG.com! The best digital game store I've ever used! Other stores sell games with DRM, and use unfair regional pricing. With GOG.com, you pay the same price worldwide, for over 700 great titles! Genres include strategy, FPS, RPG, Indie, Adventure, Racing, Simulation, and so much more! All without any intrusive DRM, guaranteed! Join GOG now, and receive a collection of games like Beneath a Steel Sky and Tyrian, ABSOLUTELY free! Don't forget to shop through their catalog of over 700 great titles, such as The Witcher 2, Deus Ex, Heroes of Might and Magic III, Thief Gold, System Shock 2, Freespace 2, and so much more! All for amazing low prices, no shipping and handling! Here's how to order!

I Live! Count me in for Harvester.

I think GOG is great because the are listening to their customers. Most other companies would have simply ignored the customer outrage about regional pricing.

There is no such thing as a lesser evil when you choose to abandon one of your principles. Once you start with that sooner or later they are all gone.

That's why I'm happy that they have seen the light. :-)

P.S.: I'm fully expecting them to show up at the GDC in their traditional monk robes. ;-) Can anyone who goes to the GDC take a few pictures if they do?
