Siannah: Please, take your bigotry and blind fanatism against Russia away from here. You've proven again and again, that you're not unbiased nor deserving of the trust you ask from us.
You only manage to embarrass yourself (and your country) even further.

lettmon: I'm not forcing anyone to read this topic. Something that you people here are unaware of apparently - you think that I am buttmad about Russia cheating - half of population of Latvia is, it's all over media. People even get in fights in person and get stabbed (god have mercy on their stupid souls). As I said I only posted here to raise awareness.
Then it's a never ending cycle. People think Russia cheated with it's skeletons and then people in Latvia, fight, kill each other and make more skeletons, giving Russia more skeletons to cheat. When will the madness end?

pds41: I agree with you there; I don't think that Russia cheated, but I don't have a problem with you arguing it. I've said why I think that the statistics of the four times work, but I don't dislike you or think that you shouldn't be allowed to make your case.
What case? What arguments?

First it's "impossible and never happens", and the counterargument that russians had nothing to do with timekeeping "NOT prove they didn't cheat".
We continue with his arguments that "all the skeleton world knows that russians were cheating" and the winner "looked like he wanted to disappear out of shame". The next winner from any country crying on the pedestal, should be shoot for crimes against humanity following such conclusions....
Now "The problem is that he worked 4 years for that gold." - I'm sure the russian was just sitting on his lazy butt the whole time instead of preparing for the Olympics in HIS home country...

I stop here, though anyone could easily expand it about 3 times. Again, what case? What arguments?

Now add in the "As for me I just wanted to raise awareness that Russia is still the source of all evil." and "I'm just a messenger, I don't intend to try to bring this issue any further." and you HAVE a case. Of unjustified and biased slander.

Here are some facts. Something our latvian friend failed to deliver entirely.

Are we actually fighting about sledding?

Thank god this isn't the Summer Olympics; one ill time word about the ping pong events and all hell would break loose. :D

Look, as I said, I don't think he's right. But I don't think it's right that everyone gets so riled up about it and I definitely don't think that he should be stopped from advancing his theory.

My main part of agreement was that you don't have to read the topic - give one reasoned response and let the topic die.

It's a bit like that ridiculous topic from last week when people were going on about the gender options on facebook, and one guy basically wasted his entire weekend aggressively saying why he was right about absolutely everything and everyone else was wrong and like totally bigoted because like everything I say is like totally the only right way of thinking about anything like.

I think most right-minded people ignored the topic after the first half hour.

The russian racer was the only one out of 30 whose starts weren't shown live on tv. If that isn't fishy I don't know what is.
Do you understand they weren't shown in Latvia but could have been elsewhere in the world? If I am not mistaked I even saw two of them. My grandma had it on when we were visiting her and I am quite positive they showed the winner (among others) live.

He was the only one whose full starts weren't shown and it was the international translation. Do you really think that each country makes their own recording? There wouldn't be enough space for the cameras and operators, for 100 something countries.

And yet again you're wrong, proving once more to not know what you're talking about.

"All footage of the Olympic is shot by OBS (Olympic Broadcast Services) and fed to the IBC (International Broadcast Center) galleries are set up for each broadcaster who recieve the feeds so they can cut between the shots as they wish. The Russians have no control over the footage you see"

Also according to russian sources, there was full coverage of his starts in Russia with video prove - though I have no intention to spoof my location to Russia, just to check it.

No, but still almost everything (or everything) is filmed but only some of it natilonal TVs pick to air. I even just checked local TV archive and I was right, I saw his 4th heat live and they showed it complete. They showed the all 3rd heat and the better part of 4th but not live too, but on their websites they streamed it all live (3rd and 4th heat certainly first two maybe), so they certainly showed it here.
Blame your local TV for not showing the run of olympic winner. Skeleton is veeeery minor sport here and they showed it while I presume it watched quite a lot in Latvia thanks to good "skeleton(er)s" in there.

I'm not talking about the runs which obviously were shown but about the starts, those 4.47 seconds four times in a row that only a robot could do.

Watch this (around 3 min mark) if it is available in your country and tell me if you can see the start there or not.
No, not available.

But.. Russians are robots, aren't they?
In that case you can either trust me that you can see the start there or continue to live with your conspiracy theory and with hate against Russia.

No. Russian are the bears on unicycles who start the day with eating latvian kids. Then they build the robots to cheat in skeleton. Don't tell anyone, it's a secret!
