Brandon, I have your saw!

Legend of Kyrandia, an unforgettable, classic point-and-click adventure game packed with wondrous locations, mythical creatures, and downright evil sense of humor, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

Welcome to the wonderful kingdom of Kyrandia, a land of astounding beauty, home to countless enchanted creatures and spellbinding locations. Alas, dark clouds gather on the horizon: Malcolm, the court jester, has done something terrible and the magical realm will never be the same again. Unless you, Prince Brandon, can achieve the impossible and outfox the demented joker. Remember when adventure games challenged you to beat them, without cutting you any slack? Remember when you had to draw a location map not to get lost in the maze, or were wary of crossing a funny-looking bridge, in fear of falling to a terrible death? Legend of Kyrandia, in all its classic charm and glory, is the epitome of those games.

Legend of Kyrandia is one of the gems of the classic adventure games era. First in the series of three titles, it established the original setting of Kyrandia, a land of unparalleled beauty, and, at the same time, menacing dangers. Celebrated for its unique tone of mischievous humor and inventive quests, it has also been considered a milestone in adventure games evolution. The game introduced innovative elements to the genre, with extremely simple interface and creative use of inventory items. It also made you suffer and die in many imaginative ways (one of them including a particularly charming slasher smile and a very sharp saw).

Prepare for some old-school questing and lose yourself (literally) in a perilous kingdom of Kyrandia, get Legend of Kyrandia, for only $5.99 on GOG.com!
Wow! Finally!
Great! I hope the other two games will get released soon though, the second one is the best of the series.
:D Awesome!
First "I have no mouth and I must scream" and now this. A real adventure-fest that everyone must love!

de_Monteynard: I found a small typo on the gamepage:

Only then will you be able to reclaim the throne and resotre harmony to the land of Kyrandia.

Otherwise, a very fine release for GOG and hopefully, we will see more EA classics in the near future.
Resotre is actually a verb that exists in the Kyrandia universe, it means to sotre for a second time. The more you know!
Wow! Now, that’s a fantastic release! The Kyrandia games (especially Book One and Two) belong to the best adventure games I’ve ever played.

I really hope that the other two will be released on GOG.com as well. I’ll wait for all three of them getting released here as well and pick them up later, all together.
Legend of Kyrandia was one of my childhood games. I was really impressed by its graphics and music however the gameplay was a typical example of what's the wrong with some adventure games. You carry a lot of junk in your pockets around and puzzles are mainly "Let's try this and see what happens" instead of "Hmm, we discussed this earlier and it is a clue in the puzzle, let me think for a moment".

I will probably purchase it just for a nostalgic value, eventually.

superb release!
thanks gog
Instabuy!
Yes!!!

When I was a kid, my dad used to call me from whatever I was doing saying "hey, want to share an adventure with me?", I sat on his lap, and we played Kyrandia for what I felt were hours on end (though it was probably more like 40 minutes per session, haha). I was intrigued by all the images, and I loved that the villain was a weird fairie smartass court jester. We solved all the puzzles together (probably he solved them all while I pretended to help and think I had contributed!) and it was always a fantastic time. We played through all three Kyrandias, and I remember them fondly. Sure, I'm going to buy these things out of nostalgia, but I care little. Perhaps this time I'll call my dad to come over and play! :D
More Westwood goodness is always good.

Why I love too much Electronic Arts on GOG? ;) Let's complete series!

The Legend of Kyrandia: The Series
- Book One: Fables and Fiends (Released)
- Book Two: The Hand of Fate (Wishlist)
- Book Three: Malcolm's Revenge (Wishlist)
Would be great if we could get the international version with subtitles in different languages as it is the case with Lands of Lore 1. EA should hold the rights.

EDIT: NEVER MIND, it comes already with French and German language support.
