Ended up getting Torchlight along with Assassins Creed and KOTOR, so I'll just skip Messiah. I'm definitely getting Uplink before the end of the sale, which is going to be this Friday, right?

And the Fantasy pack looks really tempting, but can't try demons on my dial up internet right now. Is Elven Legacy and Majesty good? I love turn-based Kings Bounty-like games. Any thoughts about these?

Majesty isn't turn based. I haven't played the first, but the second is an odd sort of RTS, which is sorta fun if you don't take the game too seriously -- it isn't meant to be taken seriously at all!

As for Elven Legacy, I've had it for some time, but haven't played it much. However, I liked what little of it I played, though its nothing like HoMM or King's Bounty.

Yes, that one is turn-based :P Its supposed to be a lot like Fantasy Wars, which is available here in GoG, some people say its Fantasy Wars 2 pretty much.

I think the sale goes until the 10th, so next Sunday is when it ends. (probably at 10am PST Sunday morning)

Torchlight 2 will be out in September or so and totally obsolete Torchlight 1 -- I wouldn't wig out about the nature of the DRM.

I really do appreciate your adivce, since it's horrible how indecisive I can be. Now trying to see whether I want Hacker or Uplink more. Damn indecision.

Any reason? :P I like the idea of command prompts like a real computer on Hacker; does Uplink have some command prompts with keyboard-use?

Haven't play it in a while but I do recalled that it's very intuitive and has an excellent tutorial. It's very heavy on mouse using, if I remember correctly.

I play Hacker but it's bit too difficult compared to Uplink, in my own personal opinion. Also, I find it to be bit too repetitive. Difficult and repetitive doesn't make for a great mixture.

Again, this is just my own opinion. :)

There's a set of ticket achievements for Sunday, so I'd guess that it'll end on Monday at 10am PST.
If you're a computer nerd that cut their gums on a CLI like Dos or Unix then go for Hacker, if not but you like the idea of the game then get uplink. Hacker is more difficult, but it does feel more like using an old CLI based OS than uplink. :)

I have a rule that the game can't be more than $5 ( unless the deal is just insanely good), and it has to be something I was genuinely interested in. So far I have only bought Recettar

Haven't bought anything so far, but have been severely tempted by the discounts on the King's Bounty games... The only reason I haven't bought Armored Princess and Crossworlds yet is that I have The Legend in my GOG.com collection and I have this weird thing where I don't like my games of the same franchise to be spread across multiple digital distributors :P (also, I can be pretty patient and believe we'll see the other two KB games here on GOG.com eventually and am willing to wait for that)

What I'm really hoping for though is a one-day crazy discount on the Guild Wars series. They have a 33% discount on the NCSoft catalog right now, that will last through July 10, but I'd love them to take it down to 50-75% for a day, so I'll wait and see if that will happen in the coming six days. If not, I'll get them with the 33% discount.

The sales this year have tempted me to buy.
