Any keeping track of this one - haven't heard or seen anything here and just heard about it today. Looks like it may be promising.

-1 for the age gate.
+1 for being by Big Huge Games
-1 for EA
+1 for looking cool
-1 for the the stereotypical big baddy going rawr at the hero at the end

Overall, it could stack up to be pretty cool, I bet we'll get extensive gameplay opportunity during PAX this year since it's a fall release. I'm going to keep an eye out for it, it looks like it has some potential.
Looked kind of generic to me until I saw the latest screens. Definitely promising. Some big names attached to it.
I will watch it's progression very carefully. It seems to have some good potential.
Could have potential and definitely quite a few big names behind it. I'll keep a eye on it..but did look very generic to me.

Edit:

But just finished reading the GameInformer preview of sorts. While i dont trust GI as far as i can throw them, the game does sound pretty bad ass. Will definitely be keeping a eye on it.

What I noticed in that article (I read it too) was that it will have fighting game combat which I thought was cool. We may get to actually do those moves we see in all the CG Trailers and promos.

Yeah they do have some big names, though I have to wonder when they have to suffix Todd McFarlane's name with "creator of Spawn!" Geez, who are they advertising to that doesn't know that but knows what Spawn is?

Careful what you wish for, this is how some of the devs wanted God of War to be, you couldn't do shit in it unless you could whoop it up in Street Fighter or Soul Calibur. That limits the fun for a lot of people. The lead kept telling the devs that God of War wasn't that kind of game and we got a great game. About as far as I can go with hard fighting mechanics is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on hard mode. It's hard but it's still not as hard as being competitive at a fighting game.

Don't know much about it, though I know one of the lead developers -- Ian Fraizer -- is known to Ultima fans as "Tiberius Moongazer", the project leader for that Dungeon Siege-based remake of Ultima 5.
Might have promise. But this worries me:

...the game focuses heavily on combat. Big Huge Games’ goal is to create battles as fast and satisfying as the average action game without giving up the depth expected of an RPG.

Let's hope they do a better job of it than BioWare did in DA2.
A couple years ago I'd be Applauding R.A Salvatore as a writer for a game but his recent books really made me die a little inside (this is just my opinion) but I'll keep my eye on it.

Why has Drizzzt started his own hip-hop group with a bunch of the more well endowned, deprecated elf and gnome races from the Forgotten Realms as backup dancers and "hos"?

Not that I know of but it wouldn't surprise me I stopped reading after the Hunter's Blade trilogy because of how bad it was (yes I know sacrilege)

Yep - there are a lot of "Big" people involved in this one - looks like Curt Schilling is serious about this - I just saw an article that Rhode Island approved a 75 Million Dollar loan to him (his company - 38 Studios) to get them into the state from Massachusetts. So they have the talent and what looks like the money. I hope they can pull it off.
Bump -

I am really liking this game.

AGE gate is to reduce getting sued so +1 imo.

EA has made some good games but has also been nasty so neutral on that one.

+1 for big baddies rarring. :D
