Rebellious JC Denton or death-dealing Mr 47? What kind of hero will you be today?

GOG.com is proud to announce that Square Enix is the newest heavyweight addition to our ever-growing GOG.com catalog of great games. SquareEnix is one of the biggest publishers of the modern gaming world with almost 30-years of experience and famous releases for every single existing gaming system.

Deus: Ex Game of the Year Edition and Hitman: Codename 47 are the first titles we’re releasing from Square Enix, and they're available today for $9.99 and $5.99 respectively. Both games were originally released by Eidos in 2000, but not a single drop of greatness has been lost since then. Deus Ex is a magnificent blend of remarkable storytelling, RPG customization, and action-packed shooting. With all GOG.com’s heart we recommend Deus Ex for $9.99 as one of the most captivating and rewarding games ever. EVER! Hitman, a demanding stealth/action/planning game, created a now-iconic bald assassin Mr 47. With a vague name and a vague past, Agent 47 at least has a clear goal: eliminate the target at all costs. For you, the cost of Hitman: Codename 47 is $5.99.

There are a few more heroes from SquareEnix, that deserve a special treatment from GOG.com, and we will be announcing them in coming weeks. Today, it’s time to shave your head and buy an AMT Hardballer or wear sunglasses at night and save the world from the Illuminati.

You decide what kind of hero you want to be.
This is very awesome. Two more powerful games added to the gog library.

To those asking for Thief, correct me if I'm wrong but Thief 1 & 2 can't be sold legally due to copyright/re-publishing issues since Looking Glass Studios no longer exists am I right?

I don't know about Thief II, but there's already a number of download shops who offer the first Thief. And there's the retail compilation "Thief - The Complete Collection" from a few years back. It includes all three Thief games and is still available.

Besides, GOG already teased Thief Gold on the front page.
-Crosses fingers for FF7-

thief is owned by square enix.

i think the thief games will all soon be available because SqEnix is releasing Thief 4 in 2013 (rumored) so it's good publicity to get people into the story.
They can't as effectively capitalize on a dead franchise as they can on a franchise that people are actively following.

Also, here's a link to the Looking glass studios forum, you can get to the main page by going to ttlg.com

that is what was going on when edios basically canned LGS in the early 2000's, and they kept the rights to thief to finish the 3rd game.

SLP2000: You really should check the EULA during installation.

EULAs were used before EA joined - the difference is that now you can see it before you buy the game.
Are you referring to the GOG EULA (which is the same for every game in the catalog)?

To the best of my knowledge, additional EULAs specific to publisher were introduced when EA came to GOG.

So... am I mistaken, or are you deliberately trying to confuse the issue?

EDIT: I just installed MoO1&2 (an Atari title) again. The EULA displayed at install is the GOG EULA (along with that of DOSBox and Foxit Reader). No additional EULA.

I may be wrong, but I think I saw Ubisoft and Activision EULA during installation.

Not interested in it enough to check it atm, but I may go in the future to check what games include EULAs other than GOG EULA.
My dream comes true!!!

Next, p l e a s e ANACHRONOX!!!
Thief! :D
Lets get the Square hype machine rolling again in anticipation for a new release tomorrow.

*pleasepleaseplease Square Enix, Please.
I have Anachronox on CD, but the fighting system put me off, so I have not installed it since. TLJ2: Dreamfall was great, except that bloody fighting system...
