Yeah, I know, but I'm not going to make GG account just for this bundle.

I'll buy it directly from the dev.
Quick question
Whats the point of all the Desura keys in this bundle (and past IR bundles) ?. I dont know much about Desura to be honest...

Desura is a download client like Steam, except that, apparently, you don't need the client to actually play the games. register your indies with Desura to make sure you can re-download them in the future, in the event your direct download links are taken offline.

i bought the bundle anyway. i only really wanted Hack, Slash, Loot and Defense Grid, but the remaining 3 games don't look too bad, either. went for it.

Foxhack: I just gave it another shot, and well, I got much farther in. I was going at it the Dredmor way - run in and kill everything. This time I tried being cautious, take my time... and it worked.

It takes a lot more patience than I'm used to.
Well, I've tried being patient, but it seems to me that every door I open reveals new enemies, and the only way of dealing with them is to kill them. Combined with the near total absence of health of any kind, it tends to make for a short life :-/

The only real similarity between Steam & Desura is that there is a client. With Steam, most games are directly linked to the client, you can't play the game without also running the client (there are some known exceptions), and the client works like a form of DRM.

With Desura you simply use the client to download your games, they are not directly linked to it, and you can run your games without the client running (though you can still use the client to start them). The client is just there for convenience, and they are also working on allowing direct downloads from the website without any need for a client (or they might have finished that).

Indie Royale & Desura are directly affiliated.

nijuu: what free ones are better?;)

Hawk52: Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup
TOME
Caves of Qud

I'm sure others could throw up others, but those are all free and accessible.
Hell, I'd say every single Roguelike I've ever played is better than Hack, Slash, Loot.

Seriously, I want somebody to direct me of a video of anyone clearing even the first level of that Kian quest with one of the starting characters, and without being lucky enough to find a Haste item.
Once more:

Anyone up for a trade? You gift me this Indie Royale Bundle and I'll give you something in return.

I have:
Portal (steam gift)
World of Goo (steam key)
Faerie Solitaire (steam key)
Some Desura Keys (PM for details)

PM me if interested!
Has anyone else had problems with IndieRoyale and/or PayPal recently? My situation is the following: I ordered the bundle, the PayPal transaction went through and shows as completed, but I received neither the PayPal payment confirmation email nor the IndieRoyale key email. I was using a friend's computer for the transaction (so different IP and all that), and I'm not sure what exactly the IndieRoyale popup said (I was expecting the usual "go here for your downloads. We sent an email to your account." and didn't pay it any attention).

I sent an email to IR support asking if they know what happened.

I paid by PayPal balance; I'm pretty sure it was subtracted - the transaction shows up as completed in the PayPal overview (that was about 24h ago). I sent an email to IR support some 3-4h ago, but I suspect it may be some technical problem with PayPal. A quick google search turned up something the sounded vaguely similar. I guess I'll wait a few days and see if something happens or IR responds.

I actually had a closer look at Desura. Gee. Im bit surprised. They have heaps of indie titles - many if which are on Steam admittedly. I remember someone mention though they do have some games which have drm on them though?

After I kept hearing the name come up I had a look. They seem to encourage certain features like drm-free and cross comparability without actually requiring any of it. So they will sell anyway that works. Also something about a client involved but not being required.

After this I'm definitely going to be taking a closer look at them.

Have you tried using the key resender?

Foxhack: Have you tried using the key resender?
I tried that twice (sorry, should have mentioned it) and received no mail.

edit: Alright, issue is resolved and the culprit was neither IndieRoyale nor PayPal but my mail service, apparently. Right now, all those "lost" mails suddenly turned up, with the timestamp set at the moment they should have arrived (yesterday for some, earlier today for others). I'm not sure if I should send another message to the IndieRoyale support to tell them everything's fine.

I think that would be a nice thing to do.
And yeah, I hate when my e-mail decides it has to filter what's to be withheld (for a limited or unlimited period of time) without asking me.
