Balthier: I offer Portal (steam gift), World of Goo (steam key), Faerie Solitaire (steam key) and/or Defense Grid (steam key) for a gift of this Indie Royale Bundle.
So, in exchange for this bundle, you are offering a Steam key for Defense Grid, which is in the bundle as both steam keys and a DRM-free installer? :-D

DrIstvaan: Is it normal that I see the price in €s? And is this the same for everyone or is this another "regional ripoff"?
avatar
uchos: Yes it's normal. It's not EUR=USD though, they apply a fair conversion.
Thanks, that's good to know.

Foxhack: So, no You Monster. Oh well.
We might get it as a bonus yet, but even if we do it'll be Steam only.

Foxhack: Jesus Christ, Hack, Slash, Loot just owned my ass super hard. D:
Yeah, it reminds me of Desktop Dungeons, only much more unbalanced, unfair and unfun :-/
Well, I decided I'm going to pass this one. Lately, I'm not so interested in bundles, I have never heard about games in this bundle (and other bundles), and so I'm going to buy Kenshi instead.
Now I realised the awful Splosion Man clone is in fact mAxplosion or something I am a lot more intrested

Kenshi is in an upcoming bundle: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/gamersgate_announces_the_indiefort_bundle/page1

I just gave it another shot, and well, I got much farther in. I was going at it the Dredmor way - run in and kill everything. This time I tried being cautious, take my time... and it worked.

It takes a lot more patience than I'm used to.
I have what might be a strange question. I have Defense Grid on Xbox but I did want the DRM free PC version for future use. However, I will likely not be playing it for a while due to my main computer not having windows on it. So my question to anyone having had a chance to play this version, are the Resurgence maps included in the download or are they only available via the supplied steam keys?

If they are NOT in the game I was thinking that I should maybe give the keys away for someone that has DG on Steam. If they ARE in that download, then that wouldn't be kosher.

I'm also not really interested in the Hack, Slash, and loot game. If someone else really was interested I wouldn't mind giving up the key for that for Steam or Desura

To quote Catshade quoting the press release:

Catshade: From here:

"Defense Grid includes the free Borderlands expansion built into the main game, and we're also adding Steam keys for all four Resurgence map packs as a special bonus. (They're also bundled into Defense Grid Gold, via Desura key and DRM-free.)"
So basically, the newly released non-Steam version is a Gold edition including all the DLC apart from "You Monster" (which obviously contains characters and references owned by Valve).

Ok. I'll keep it to myself then.
Hack Slash Loot isn't a bad little Roguelike. But it's hard to believe it's actually something they want money for. I've seen better ones completely for free.

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup
TOME
Caves of Qud

I'm sure others could throw up others, but those are all free and accessible.

On 2nd thoughts after reading yours and others opinions on HSL maybe it is a half baked effort lol
