SovietSharkey: and Explodemon looks like a bad Splosion Man clone
:(
avatar
Barefoot_Monkey: This is far from the truth. Explodemon was publicly demoed hours before 'Splosionman was first announced, and was already four years into development at that point. The games are nothing alike, aside from the concept of the main character exploding.
Ah I saw a review saying it was a Splosion Man clone and from the screens it did
in that case my intrest has re raised somewhat
Seems like a very good bundle. Alien Zombie Megadeath is a wonderful little arcade game, Defense Grid is one of the best tower defense games around and Astro Tripper is a remake of a very fun Uridium-ish game called Space Tripper. I don't know much about the rest.
I don't know if exploding is the only similarity. Both main characters in the game are gibberish spouting science expirements, for instance.

However, there was a clone controversy regarding 'Splosionman, but it wasn't about Explodemon, but about a Capcom iOS game called Maxplosion. Twisted Pixel has actually approached Capcom about publishing 'Splosionman but were rejected, then that iOS game materialized, leading them to think they'd been ripped off.

I've been wondering something about these bundles for a while now: How is the money split between the devs? Some games are a lot bigger and more ambitious (and expensive) than others that gets included. Explodemon for an example is a rather ambitious game, while Astro Tripper apparently is a lot smaller in scope and ambition. And DLC quest, that was in a previous bundle was really tiny, while Hard Reset, that was in the same bundle was more ambitious by several magnitudes.
Eh. Preordered it.

mondo84: I've only heard great things about Defense Grid. That alone should be worth the pre-order price.

SirPrimalform: Well Defense Grid is currently only available on Steam... so this can't be it (unless it's going DRM-free now).

EDIT: I kind of hope it is Defense Grid though.
If Defense Grid goes DRM free and is in this then I want it. I got it on Xbox not even being sure I would like the tower defense. Turns out it is super sweet. Now I would like a more permanent copy.

Tempted by this, but not really sure what I would be getting into. The DG theory is really the only thing tempting me, and its doing a good job all by itself.
It's not a theory. The games are confirmed. It was accidently leaked last night for people that preordered and linked their IR and Desura accounts. The games showed in some people's lists for a few moments before the caught the bug and fixed it.

Skunk: Before this topic goes any further, we don't have to make something clear, but I'm going to anyway.

1. It's "Dungeons of Dredmor", not "Dungeons of Dredmore"
2. It's also worth noting that "roguelike" is an RPG subgenre of games that are characteristically similar to the classic dungeon-crawler "Rogue", while "rougelike" refers to something characteristically similar to cosmetics, the color red, and an unlikeable Sonic character.

3. The person responsible for adding "Dungeons of Dredmore" to the wishlist, DCT, is guilty of both crimes. He is also largely unfamiliar with commas and punctuation in general. The English language is very, very mad at him. Do you want to be like DCT?
Dude the personal attack is uncalled for there.

Also for the record I happen to have a learning disability jerk..

Dungeons of Dredmore

Since GOG is selling newer and indie games (wording is arguably awkward), I figure I would put this one up (missing period) it's a great and hilarious Rougelike ("rouge"like, unnecessarily capitalized genre name), I mean come on (there probably should have been at least one comma between this point and "mean") it has a (an) item called the Hordric lutefisk cube (Horadric Lutefisk Cube that turns everything into tasty(not) lutefisk (period)
You struck first. I've now proofread your description as per your request. Pray I don't proofread it any further.

What because I wrote something and made a simple mistake? Please do yourself a favor and go outside and get a life please because man you are pathetic if that is all it takes for you to launch personal attacks on someone.

Sinizine: linked their IR and Desura accounts
How do you link your accounts?

EDIT: Google answered my questions... sort of. Someone on the Steam forums linked here:
http://www.indieroyale.com/members/login

But I can't find any way to navigate to that page on the IR site. Perhaps it's a feature they haven't publicly released yet?

Hmm, if there was You're Monster DLC included I might be interested.

Well then I shall give it a try.....done.

That DLC would no doubt be exclusively steam exclusive, though.
For anyone doubting, here is the proof I posted on the SPUF.

Edit: Also, it hasn't been removed for me. I just installed Hack, Slash and Loot perfectly fine.
