I've only played 2 and 3, but of those, 2 is definitely my favourite. 1 looks like an early beta of 2 tbh.

If they release HOMM 2 for $5.99, I'll buy it just for the soundtrack.

If they release HOMM2 + PoL, I hope they wil add the soundtrack from PoL too, music in cities is different and that opera music is something beautiful

HMM for 5.99 I would get. not that interested but i want to check the legend of gaming.
for 9.99 they should give number two and all expansion packs as well (were there anY?)

captfitz: Oh boy! I'm too much of a young 'un to have played anything before HOMM III, but that game devoured my life for a month. From what I hear it sounds like that was the best of the series, did HOMM take a while to mature or were the first two games gems as well?

Mostly I've seen HOMM2 recommended as the best of the first three.
Really it was as perfect as a game could be really, and did everything it was trying to do.
