Can anyone remember the game I listed above this post? I would dearly like to play it again as it was fun. Even if gog will not sell it I would like to look for it on eBay, but I need the name.
Thanks
I'm pretty sure thats not a bullfrog title. It almost reminds me of A-train, but that was japanese.
Thanks, It was China and you normally started by transporting Silk from one town to the next.
Please, can someone help me with this. I will copy what I wrote above so it is clear what I am looking for.

OK guys I need your help to remember another game I use to play.
It was by Bullfrog, or is that Treefrog..I cannot remember.
It was a 2D game set in China and you had to build trading routes, build roads, and establish a network of shops and transports to nearby cities. It also had areas off map that you switch to in order to continue your enterprise across maps.
The land was always green and off the edges of the map area was a black star field to indicate the playable area.
Also, I think the box had a picture of a Train on it.
Thanks for the help.

Riptide, thanks for the help, but this is not it. The box cover art had an old style train on it as I recall.
It was 2D and the entire game was about moving goods around, to different towns, cities, and other areas off the map (linked to other maps int he game).

Could it be Trade Empires?

Lanttu, YES! Thank you. I really enjoyed this game and would love to play it again. Thank you very much, and I gave you a "Thumbs Up" +1 Rep.
Thanks Again.

Anytime :) That train on the cover was the trick. I got that with some game bundle and I was like "Ach... some tycoon training?" but it turned to be more like Civilization like game :D
Hey, mind if I borrow this thread? Wouldn't want to start another one with the exact same title ;)
So, anyway, I have a vague recollection of a game, touted (among other things) for being either one of the first, or actually THE first game on a DVD, where you piloted a ship (I think it was some sort of a transporter), which had engines that you controlled independently (which was the second touted aspect, incidentally).
The setting was sci-fi-ish, with the demo level being set on some kind of moon, maybe, but don't take my word for it - as I said, I remember it somewhat vaguely ;)

Wing Commander IV (1997-1998)? That is the first space simulation on DVD afaik?

No, I would have remembered something THAT obvious ;)
Also, the gameplay was set on the face of the planet (or moon, whatever), not in space.

So this wasn't too easy, heh...
That transporter and separate engine stuff is freaking me out. :) Can't remember any of that kind of stuff from past games. Do you have any year? When did you played this? I mean - are we looking amiga games or Xbox 360 games for extreme demented dude. :D
Elite II: Frontier? That old? edit: no.. Not Elite. No surface there if I remember right... Terminal Velocity? Naa... Hmm...

Another "What's that game?" request.
This was a RPG dungeon crawl. It was first person. I was after but near the Stonekeep era. I remember there were like big rocks rolling around. You could change their directions to sometimes drop them into pits, or to smash open doors. The other thing I remember was that there were spells with names something like, Fist of Earthly (?Thundering?) Might, and Grinning Skull of Death. I'd really like to find that one again.

As I said, this was kind of near the dawn of DVD era, back when I could only play the demo, because DVD drives were expensive ;)
Also, any Wing Commander from 3 upwards I could imagine on a DVD, but this one didn't seem to have anything justifying it being released on that medium, as opposed to CDs ;)
This could also be wrong, but I THINK this was in windows 95/98 era.

I just cannot place this game at all. I hope you find the answer soon.
