I cannot think of a games name that I think would be a great addition to the gog lineup.
It was a game that had you in a hover type tank (but you could switch vehicles as well). It was set in space and the enemy was sort of bug like (not Starship Troopers).
You could also walk around and use hand held weapons as well.
You had to build bases, turrets, control other teammates, and it was one hard game to win, but it was a blast as well.
The name was "something II" I think. Man, it would be a great game to play again.
I hope this rings a bell with someone here...so can you think of the game name for me?
Sounds like Battlezone 2 to me.
Battlezone II: Combat Commander maybe?
Lemme guess... was it the Battlezone series by Activision?
I have only played Battlezone 2 & it was great although some of the skimish missions were rather hard.

Wow, guys that was fast. Yes, Battlezone II is the game. Great game and I wonder if it is possible to have it find a home here on gog.
Thank you all very much.
So, are there any other games that people cannot think of that need a home on gog?
I sure hope so! :o)

OK guys, another game to help me with as I cannot remember its name.
It is something like a Civ style game, but it was based on exploration, building an economy, diplomacy and military.
It was more a 2D game that had little icons for units that had little animation to them while they were doing something ordered.
You have ships to sail with and settle new areas, you had explores to search in mountains for resources, there was a little guy that looked like a carpenter sawing wood when things were being built.
The box cover looked like a conquistador on it.

Maybe Anno 1602 or something? I can't remember the numbers in the titles, but maybe it's one of the first ones in the Anno series.
Beware: The only Anno I've played is the most recent one (hell if I knew in which year it plays, it's too confusing if you're not into the series), so I don't know if the first one was anything like your description. But it's also the only game I can think of that includes settling islands and building an economy.

No, not Anno 1602 but that would be a great game to include. Anno 1503 with expansion would be great as well.
It was a whiteish box with a guy to the right hand side that was wearing a conquistador style helmet. I will keep thinking as I owned the thing on two separate occasions.

Hmm. Do you remember any more details about the game? Developer, release year, or something about the game itself? Single- or multiplayer (or both)? What was the battle system like? Was the style serious or not (more like Anno or more like The Settlers, so you know what I mean)? Btw, it isn't Settlers, is it?

The UI was like Scrolls or Banners on different Screens. It was turn based and as I recall the next turn button was an Exclamation Point (!)...I think. It was set inside a pole of some nature.
You could play different nations, and there was an Old World (England area and such) and the New World (Americas) once it was found and explored.
You have to build roads, ports, for your goods to travel on and it I would think would be an old game maybe form 1999 or so.
Well, there's "Conquest of a New World", but that's already on GOG so I guess you don't mean that ;)
Sorry, I'm afraid I can't help you there.
By the way, what in god's name is your avatar?^^

LOL, it is a closeup of Sheen from Jimmy Neutron.
OK, got the name. It is Imperialism II: Age of Exploration.
OK guys I need your help to remember another game I use to play.
It was by Bullfrog, or is that Treefrog..I cannot remember.
It was a 2D game set in China and you had to build trading routes, build roads, and establish a network of shops and transports to nearby cities. It also had areas off map that you switch to in order to continue your enterprise across maps.
The land was always green and off the edges of the map area was a black star field to indicate the playable area.
Also, I think the box had a picture of a Train on it.
Thanks for the help.
