AKA the game that bankrupted Sensible Software!
I remember seeing some screenshots of the game ages ago back in the 90's. I think the article was calling it the biggest vaporware game ever. I'd actually love to see that turned into a game. Maybe churned out by using some cheap, modern adventure engine.
Dammit! I didn't even know there WAS a computer game in development using Eon. I quite enjoy that world and system, but seldom get the chance to actually use my rulebooks.

I suppose I just have to continue building my "networked-tabletop" Eon application that I started on a few years ago (which then fell by the wayside and never got finished).
Last Ninja 4
I was really sad when I've heard that the idea was turned down. Last Ninja series would be in my top 10 games list if I ever cared to create one...

Shaolin_sKunk: Starcraft: Ghost
By: Guess who
That was one of the biggest disappointments ever for me. I was addicted to the original Starcraft, and seeing Ghost not come out sucked big time.

Also: Really wish Dead Phoenix had come out.

Crosmando: I think I remember reading that FOT2 was going to have a plot about "nature coming back" or something, as in radiation-mutated plants attacking and foliage taking over. Not sure how I would of felt about that
There's got to be a C64 game or something of Day of the Triffids. Surely.

Understantable reason though. 1994 C64 was pretty much dead as a reasonable commercial platform.
This. It would not have had much to do with the original BG1-2 campaign, rather, it would have had a plot partially reminiscent of PS:T, with concept artist Vance Kovacs on board, who was responsible for the artwork in the Icewind Dale games as well. The few released concept art pieces for the game are enough for me to regret that this one had to be canceled.

yyahoo: You didn't like Emperor's Tomb?
Not as much as Infernal Machine. Too action \ fist fighting fighting focused for me...

Oh that's really interesting, and a shame. Last Ninja was a staple of my childhood and I have very fond memories.

Dat horrible combat
Thrilling, action packed combat against terrifying mobs in Britannia! What's not to love? That crew was a wee bit lacking in dps though. ;-)

This kind of plot was used in New Vegas for one of the Vaults. Liked the old horror feel of that segment.
The real Fallout 3 - Van Buren
I enjoyed Fear Effect 2 (PS1) and was looking forward to Fear Effect Inferno (PS2) but it was cancelled. Not sure how far in development it was.

The two I can think of off hand were the Highlander game that got shit canned and those Call of Cthulhu: Beyond the Mountains of Madness and Destiny's End titles. I was excited for all 3, but it ended up being a triple threat of disappointment. :(
