Tag Team Game Rumble!

You could hear the sound of crowds going wild! You could hear hear the epic guitar riffs going off! You could hear the sound of muscular bodies slamming against the arena floor! No, this wasn't the echoes of Wrestlemania XXX. It was our very own special [url=http://www.gog.com/gamerumble]Battle of the Games 2014 promo, with stables of amazing games facing off each other three by three in explosive combat. You, dear GOGgers, were the referees. Now, the time has come for the grand finale! We know who won, and who did not. All of the participating games are now simultaneously on sale for the next 48 hours!

Adeptguy: LOL. What were they thinking to put Red Faction up against Unreal games? Unreal will beat the crap out of Red Faction :)

This battle is pretty one-sided derp.
GoG don't have the Quake games yet. Or you'd see a war.
What a creative promo! :D

I dunno which side to vote, though. I don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings. I might abstain my vote. :P

Niggles: Nice promo.I see GOG going for our wallets again argh lol

Blackguards on sale already on GOG.... ,,,Hmmmmmmmmmm

Marci87: unfortunately it's still cheaper on Steam even with this promo :-|
That's normal for many releases. GOG's strengths lie in other areas. It's better to ask whether the price here is what you're willing to pay here.
Love the promo idea and how it incorporates some of the successful aspects of your previous promo experiments. Always glad to see Heroes III up for sale. It's one of my all-time favorites and an experience no gamer should miss.
I hope these games will be on sale :

The Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary
The Settlers 4: Gold Edition

Shambhala: How is that? For me is 20€ on steam vs 22.5$ here, so it's cheaper here due to the conversion (20€ = 27.6$).
Living aside the fact that here is DRM free...

Grargar: If I understand correctly, Steam games are cheaper in Poland when compared to € countries.
yup I can have the standard version for $20 and the deluxe one for $30 I'm still considering buying here though. If only GOG would have add the DLC for half price as well they would've had me already.
For now I will just settle for the HoMM I-III

Too bad Unreal is going to win, go team Chaser!

The only game of the six that I don't own is Chaser, hence that team got my vote. How is Chaser, anyway? I got the impression from reviews that it was a very average FPS with some flaws.
Unreal games are made with dead puppies.

korell:
It's average, but it's also fun. How many FPS can you really find with a decent single player campaign?

It was one of my favorite FPS when I was younger, think Total Recall the game essentially. There are definitely flaws though, be prepared to take a lot of unnecessary damage.

Well, at 60% off it'll be $2.40 (or $2.39 if they choose not to round up). So that's £1.43 according to Google. Then add on my foreign transaction fee and it's £1.47. Can't say I'd miss that for an average FPS even if it does have flaws. :)

You're not voting? YOU JUST HURT MY FEELINGS!!!
How different is Heroes of Might and Magic II from HOMM III? Would it be fair to say they are similar enough to consider them levels packs within the same game engine? I have HOMM III; are there any reasons HOMM II would also be an essential release to nab? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

GabiMoro: I didn't mean the campaigns are bad, but they are rather "meh". Some of them are better, some are weak. As far as I remember the story was just ok. I found the strong point of Heroes 3 to be in the scenarios. There are a lot of scenarios (like those maps made by Corribus - Timothy Duncan) which are much better.

I intend to replay all the Campaigns, including the Chronicles, perhaps I remember wrong :).

Ghorpm: Yes, I was also mostly referring to HoMM 3. I do agree with you that scenarios are the main reason why the game is so popular and you can keep playing (not replaying!) it 15 years after the release. It's kinda unique that not only there are tons of available scenarios but also (and more importantly) most of them are of high quality. It's also fairly obvious that I spent twenty times more hours on scenarios than on the campaigns but I think it shouldn't diminish the quality of the campaigns. They are nicely told, you get to learn the story from different perspective and they are quite complementary. What's also very important for me (and maybe the reason why I could be biased) they are closely connected to Might & Magic games, especially to MM7 which is my personal favorite. Furthermore most missions from those campaigns are really interesting and well designed. I wouldn't have any problems with showing a few weaker ones but the majority is great.

So yeah, while nowadays I only play scenarios the campaigns will always have a special place in my heart :D
Oh, I haven't played any Might and Magic games, only the "Heroes" series.

I just bought myself a Heroes 1 copy so now I have all 3 first games. I'll keep an eye for Heroes 4 and perhaps for Might and Magic 7 too:)
So even if Chaser doesn't get the votes, it will probably be no more than $2.49 tomorrow. I can't get heartbroken about that. :)
