My other main hobby is playing guitar. Mostly blues, or rock, a little jazz or funk. I have an electric and a classical acoustic... used to play in a band in college but haven't done so in a few years.
I also read a lot, a little less since I went back to school (part-time MBA).
Write some poetry as well, thought about writing a book but never get around to actually doing it or fleshing out a plot enough.
I also play hockey, although haven't had time to join a league recently. Played roller hockey in college (california, hence the roller).
I've nearly clocked 6000km (aprox. 3700 miles for the US/UK crowd) on my motorcycle this season, I'm hoping to double that before December. I'd love to triple it, but I don't think that's going to happen.
Aside from gaming, I consider myself a jack of many trades, albeit a master of none:
- First and foremost, above all else, amateur triathlon: I run, I swim, I cycle. At least one or two of the three every day. Skiing in the winter
- Hobbyist writer of fiction
- Reading books, especially factual science and history, philosophy, or fictional sci-fi and fantasy (usually, I don't have anything against a good crime novel, or drama either)
- Cooking
- Baking
- Stargazing (when conditions allow)
- Tweaking and/or over-clocking hardware
- Tending the garden
- Posting on internet forums (well, obviously!)
- Probably more that I just don't think of right now
My other hobby is music. I compose, sing tenor and countertenor, play electric bass, play (French) horn, play piano badly, and have a few other instruments in the closet that I dabble with.
I don't get to do much with it these days though. In terms of activity, my hobbies are walking our Border collie and emptying the dehumidifier into the rainbarrel.

JonhMan: Currently I'm attempting to learn some video game music on the piano, right now I'm working on Baba Yetu. I'm also interested in tech stuff and my studies for school.

Let's form a video game music band.

AmishFury: 110ish HD DVDs

Oh god what, I don't even
when not playing games i send my time. reading about games. posting on forums about games. sigh.
I used to be into rock climbing and inline skating, but since moving to tokyo i can't find any good way to do them. (tokyo climbing walls = very short and crazily expensive)
I have a huge collection of DVDs in the UK... 400 odd movies, plus about 30 complete tv series... but even before i moved to the UK i decided i was wasting far too much money on things i'd just have to rebuy on blueray/hddvd. (i had about 500 vhs tapes, and had to rebuy most of them on dvd.
So i switched to a monthly all-you-can-rent service and saved a ton. (except the odd irresistible special edition. )
I guess these days my main other hobby is going to japanese firework festivals, and spending too much of my free time studying japanese.
I occasionally wake up with little to no knowledge of where I am how I got there or why I have so many unexplained injuries. Does this count as a hobby? It's probably regular enough to be one.

That... would... be... awesome! It would be even cooler if we spliced the videos of us playing instead of doing it live.
Airsoft is one of my biggest hobbies, not backyard stuff, milsim, its more serious than you probably think.
I think I may look into joining the marines sometime throughout my life.

frostcircus: Do you have anything you can show us? I would love to hear this.

Fraid not, we've only been together for a couple of months, and we are moving to the city soon...so the band lately has been on the backburner. We have a pretty rigorous song selection process... if we don't like 5 seconds of it we ditch it, or completely change it.
In the meanwhile, two of our biggest influences are Modest Mouse and Neutral Milk Hotel...so I suggest you check them out.

All we need now is a drummer, bassist, and guitarist!

Look in the Looking for Group channel...
Movie buff in the works. Taking Film and Digital Media at my school. Watch all manner of films. Just today I watched Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Revolutionary Road and Stalker.
Not as much of a DVD collector because I don't feel the need to rewatch a lot of films I like, just the ones I love. Actually, I usually end up rewatching the same 10 films over again.
are there any other windsurfers here?
other than that, skiing--especially backcountry--and tennis.
...and hooking up with babes.
