I'm in for Bigs, because any bundle really excite me. Thanks Mr. giveaway +1

I bought books for a few cents in a garage sale. They were pleasant to read.
Two books from George RR Martin from his sci-fi era (in the 70's) called A song for Lya and other stories and Songs of Stars and Shadows. The stories deal with space travels on dangerous planets and meeting with humanoids.
An other book is Deathworld from Richard Matheson (the author of Make Room! Make Room!), similar to Martin's previous books.
Then, a compilation of the Best Tales from Weird Tales, the pulp magazine which revealed major sci-fi authors like Lovecraft or Robert Lee Howard.

I know these books are not brand news, but I hope you will read them one day !
I'm in for Mount & Blade bundle

ATM I'm reading Lalka (The Doll) by Polish author Bolesław Prus it's one of my favorite books ever and it's considered to be one of the greatest polish novels.. It was translated so you can find yourself a copy if you are somewhat interested in late XIX century period.
I am in for The Legacy Of Kane bundle

I have been reading the tolkien books, and some of lovecraft, to be honest, I can only seem to like H.P's way of writing, as I think is just more subtle given that maybe tolken thought that orcs were a representation of black people

Thanks for the giveaway, and +1.

I'm in.

But I'd prefer a single game ( Banished if the sale is still active or Xwing SE otherwise ) over a bundle
First at all, thanks you very much for your kindness and,of course, plus 1.

I'm in for The Witcher: Adventure game.

I recomend you The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick. It tells a story setting in an uchronic world where the Axis powers won the Second World War. In this alternative world a man has wroten a book about a "diferent" history where the Allied Powers won...

But in case you like noir novel I've just readed Gavelston by Nick Pizzolato, who created True Detective and in this novel you'll find a lot of great ingredients of this well-made TV show.
+1.
Not in for a bundle, but Defender of the Crown would be nice.

Last sci-fi I read was Robert A. Heinlein's Sixth Column. Though that was around 2 years ago.
No time to read books atm, keeping up with my magazine subscriptions is hard enough.
Especially the history magazine is piling up.

Thanks for the cool giveaway!
I can't think of any bundle I'd like which I don't already have a game or two of, so I was wondering if I'd be able to split the 9.99 you mentioned such that it'd include Rogue Legacy, Jade Empire and Tales of Monkey Island, which at their lowest price this sale totalled less than 9.99 USD, but not at the same time...hopefully there'll be something like that on the 24th. If not, any one of them.

I have, unfortunately, not read a lot of books in a while..I should get back into that, but I always make the excuse to myself that I never find time. Anything I recommend would be somewhat outdated anyhow. I recently gifted a friend of mine "A Short History of Nearly Everything", which I had read a long while back, but I still say is pretty great. Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is another book I recommend whenever I can. Anything by Terry Pratchett usually gets totally devoured by me (although I hear his latest book wasn't as good).
I'll see if I can find something for myself here that I'd enjoy...

I love sci-fi, and read in it a lot. Fantasy, not so much; Tolkien kind of ruined the genre for me, except for the Discworld books, and I've read a couple of those in the last few months. Love every one.

My favorite modern sci-fi authors are Jack McDevitt and Peter F. Hamilton. McDevitt is an unruffled writer - Navy man - whose work is seriously grounded in science and a few fairly well thought out tech advances. His Academy series (a.k.a. the Priscilla Hutchins books) is a wonderful run of novels set in a universe in which spacefaring humans are pretty much alone in a galaxy that shows many signs of civilizations past. They aren't flashy, but I find them profoundly satisfying. Peter F. Hamilton is a splashy all-over-the-place writer of big, enthusiastic space operas, usually in trilogies, set in the far future with lots of wonderful tech - combat implants, downloaded consciousness, organic spaceships. His writing is extremely uneven (I think he dictates), but his romping stories are terrific.

Lately I've read a couple of good other ones. "Old Man's War," by John Scalzi, is a new take, essentially, on Heinlein's "Starship Troopers," but coming from a very different place (and largely minus the angry disturbing politics). It's the first of a series. I just read it recently and am not sure if I'm going to move on to the rest, but it's an excellent read. "Spin" and "Axis" by Robert Charles Wilson are very good big-tech books about life on earth after the world is suddenly changed by a technological event - I haven't yet read the third book, "Vortex."

Currently reading "The Voyages of Captain Hatteras," by Jules Verne.

I'll stay out of this one, I've had some good wins lately. Let others take their shots.
Remember kids, that ''as usual'' part of ''simple GA as usual'' could've been used from his 3rd day on the forums. I joined the same month as him; and from the difference in REP, you can tell what he's been up to.

Anyway, not in, but +1!

I'd like to obtain a few suggestions. Which are the novels that have been made into games?I want them! ALL of them! Books are pretty cheap here, so its quite easy. So pwease mention any you know and I'll try to hunt it down.
All the bundles are up so I will be closing this in about 35 hours or so.

Good luck all!!
Thank you for your continuing generosity. +1

I'm in for the Mount & Blade bundle.

I haven't read any books lately because I simply didn't have enough time. But if you like humor and fantasy you can't go wrong with the Discworld saga.

And if you haven't read it already I'm sure you will enjoy The Little Prince, which is a book for children and grownups alike.

I'm in for the Wing Commander Saga.

As for books, there's one I just started rereading for the 5th time -- it's Peace by Gene Wolfe. It's a creepy midwestern novel about an old man who lives alone in a big house. He sleeps by the fireplace and roams the house when he's awake, thinking back on his life. But, and here's the twist, he doesn't just think about his life, it seems that he's able to insert his present self into the situations that he remembers or perhaps he brings the people from the past into the present with him.

What exactly is going on is the big mystery of the novel and you'll have to piece together why the man ended up old, alone and crippled in a big empty house, but the old man's stories may not be entirely truthful.

A snippet...

“Doctor, for a stroke—”
“Mr. Weer, if I answer your questions will you cooperate with me in a little test? A game with mirrors. Then will you look at some pictures for me?”
“If you answer my questions, yes.”
“All right, you have had a stroke. I must say you don’t look it, but I’m willing to accept it. What are your symptoms?”
“Not now. I haven’t had a stroke now; please try to understand.”
“You will have a stroke?”
“I have had it in the future, Doctor. And there is no one left to help me, no one at all. I don’t know what I should do—I’m reaching back to you.”

Thanks for the chance, I'm in for the Deponia Bundle.

Most of the reading I do is from technical books and such, right now I don't dare to recommend any novel...
