Subbi: My my, GOG really has a very committed fan-base....even on price there's no discussion ;-)
Sure there is, that's what we are all doing right now. It is just that arguing whether the price is right is pretty useless, because you are not obliged nor forced to buy a game in a given price.
I suggest you do like I and many others have done: if you don't agree with the price of the item (in this case Dreamfall), don't buy it (nor pirate it, just to be clear). When it drops in price in e.g. a promo discount and you find the price agreeable, get it then. That's what I did, I don't recall if it was 50%, 60% or how much off the default price then. I think it was definitely under $10 though, which seemed to be your tolerance level?
The fact that you (and some others) show interest so much to this one game that you demand its price to be lowered, instead of just dismissing the game and buying/playing something else instead, shows that there is something special in the game that might even justify its higher price. :)
I had a bit similar case earlier with e.g. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines before. It was sold DRM-free on DotEmu for around 20€ I think. Quite a "high" price for such an "old game", but in the end I decided I wanted it anyways, so I got it for that price. And I am happy I did (even though it was sold in a DE promo cheaper sometime later), because later DotEmu had to remove the whole game from their catalog. I'm happy I got it before that, even if I paid 20€ for such an old game.

One more thing: I personally feel that the default prices of these digital items are quite often put quite high, because the publishers expect that most interested buyers will wait for promo sales anyway. The default price might not be the price that the publishers feel most interested buyers will want to pay anyway, it includes a buffer to afford 50-75% discounts in future sales.
So even if the Dreamfall default price was $10, most people would _still_ wait for promo sales, to get it half the price. Heck, they'd probably do that even if the default price was $5.
